Tim Durham #Trump's "No tax on overtime" will prove to be a game changer for USA because 1 day extra work per week actually results in about 36% more take-home-pay, which drastically increase people's ability to: 1) pay off debt or (credit card, house, student debt, car) 2) save up for something or (house) 3) to start a business (most businesses fails due to being underfunded) For businesses, when economy is growing fast, it gives the US economy incredible flexibility, to attract workers to put in 8-16 more hours weekly - for example when having large orders etc. 16 hours more work weekly - could increase take-home-pay by about 72%, and 8-16 hours extra work weekly helps to keep overheating the job market, too. If Trump adds 40% importtaxes minimum on imports, that would result in $1 Trillion, which could fund: 1) the entire Military 2) $100 Billion annually to continously rebuild US entire infrastructure - every 25 years. ....and, onshore millions of jobs - which again could lower taxes substantially. Additionally, the US Constitution should be changed with above and include so: - personal income taxes are max 20% - including State taxes and - company taxes max 15% - and, that no project takes more than 6 months to approve all needed redtape.

We can, then, distinguish more clearly the line that divides the individualist and the collectivist, for the latter sets full employment as the first goal of any society, and its realization is not to be obstructed by any consideration of private property, freedom of production, freedom of investment, or freedom of job selection. The former recognizes that some fluctuations in employment are inevitable in the free, expanding economy. It is the price one has to pay for a secular trend toward maximum freedom and greater and greater prosperity." ~ William F. Buckley, Jr., 𝘎𝘰𝘥 𝘢𝘯𝘥 𝘔𝘢𝘯 𝘢𝘵 𝘠𝘢𝘭𝘦 (1951)

“Migrating millionaires are a vital source of forex revenue as they tend to bring their money with them when they move to a country. Around 20% of them are entrepreneurs and company founders who may start new businesses and therefore create local jobs in their new country, and this percentage rises to over 60 per cent for centi-millionaires and billionaires,” Andrew Amoils, head of research at New World Wealth, said the benefits of this migration of wealth and talent to these destination countries are significant and wide-ranging. https://lnkd.in/ea54TH65

This is a great, timely piece from Public World - I couldn't resist offering some further alliteration via my comments to summarise some of the critical success factors, having been thinking a lot about this with clients of late! Do get in touch if I can help you MULL over what a more mission-driven approach might mean for you... Critical success factors: - The input of the MASSES in both shaping and delivering - MILESTONES to focus forward energy - MOMENTUM building and sustaining - starting with MINI wins in the immediate term to build commitment and confidence to ramp up and MOVE ahead together - MUTUAL respect for both the MICRO local and MACRO shifts required and progress achieved - MONUMENTS - tangible symbols celebrated by the MANY as MARKERS of progress - and those MISSIONS that really thrive are those that become a MOVEMENT in and of themselves What would you add? #mission #transformation #strategy #impact
'Mission-driven government' is all the rage, but if governments do TO people rather than WITH them, even the best missions fail. Missions need mobilisations, argues Colin Talbot in his first blog for Public World. https://lnkd.in/eZWGZ-Nb Might especially interest Matthew Kalman Mezey Cormac Russell Katie Kelly Jessica Studdert Adam Lent Jon Alexander Angela Fell

In the wake of WWII the Australian Government believed we had to "populate or perish". Since then Australia has populated and prospered. This policy transformed Australian society and population growth via immigration has underpinned economic growth ever since. Despite not being politically popular at present, population growth has helped keep Australian economic growth in positive territory post-COVID even as per capita economic output has declined. A growing population is expected to continue to underpin economic growth in Australia for the foreseeable future. This presents an opportunity for real estate and credit markets, which are key beneficiaries of these tailwinds.
