Congratulations #MachineGames, #Bethesda, and #Xbox! I'm very happy to see Indiana Jones and the Great Circle come out. It has been a long journey for Indy. Machine Games is getting better and better with each release. And they look to be the perfect developer for Indy. I hope this is the first of several Indiana Jones adventures from Machine Games. Remember, the MachineGames folks who came from StarBreeze worked on the fantastic Chronicles of Riddick and The Darkness games back in the day. There is a fantastic lineage of experience and play from The Chronicles of Riddick: Escape from Butcher Bay (2004), The Darkness (2007), and The Chronicles of Riddick: Assault on Dark Athena (2009) to Wolfenstein: The New Order (2014), The Old Blood (2015), The New Colossus (2017), and Young Blood (2019) to the just released Indiana Jones and the Great Circle (2024). There is both individual and studio learning across two decades of First Person Adventures that gets us to from Chronicles of Riddick to The Darkness to Wolfenstein to Indiana Jones. This is game history in motion. Back in 2009 I almost went to LucasArts for the last Indiana Jones that LucasArts almost made. This was before Disney bought the six Lucas companies in 2012 for $4 billion. When that Indy was canceled in 2009, I instead went to id Software. At id Software I saw the care and attention that Machine Games had for Wolfenstein, while we worked on Rage & Doom. I also released Wolfenstein on Mobile and back onto consoles. Meanwhile MachineGames labored on Wolfenstein for over a decade putting out fantastic new Wolfenstein games to complement the classic. So yeah, if I can't make Indy, I'm happy that MachineGames is. I've seen and played MachineGames' work, directly and indirectly, for a long time. MachineGames is a fantastic steward for Indiana Jones in First Person Adventures. I hope that Indy and MachineGames have a rich and entangled future for a decade to come. I want to play the games they'll make. I have loved Indiana Jones since I was a kid. So I'm happy to inhabit Indy through a First Person window via the development wizardry, expertise, love, care, and craft from MachineGames. ps. As a former Looking Glass and id Software game designer I am so happy that Indiana Jones is a first person adventure. pps. What inspired me to work in the affordable housing industry? Can't wait to hear from our panelists Nov 18th in the Windy City! Two pivotal experiences shaped my path: Volunteering for @Junior Achievement each year in Charlotte, NC. I learned firsthand about food insecurity, financial struggle, and unsafe neighborhoods. I’ll never forget asking the children what they were dressing up as for Halloween—one little boy burst into tears because his mom couldn’t afford a costume, and none of the students trick-or-treated in their own neighborhood.  (Happy to report my team at PwC bought the entire class costumes.) Poverty Simulation hosted for employees by PwC opened my eyes to the uphill battle faced by those financially behind. Simple things like having direct deposit versus riding a bus to a check-cashing agency, or the dilemma of sick children keeping a parent from work translating to no pay for that day (no paid PTO), reminded me how fragile financial stability can be. These experiences gave me a deep sense of purpose—to help ensure that everyone has access to safe, affordable housing and the opportunity to live in thriving communities. It’s about creating security, opportunity, and dignity for all. #AffordableHousing

It’s hard to believe it is only a month since we welcomed Terry to the team. He already seems like he was always meant to be here! It’s even harder to believe that we are now a team of 7! The last 6 years has flown by but as I reflected with Dave last night, it’s been a lot of very hard work too. It never felt like a e we’re growing fast but before you know it, there’s not a month in memory where you’ve not been planning or implementing or figuring something out.
