How quickly does your recruitment process move? SRHM's 2023 figures cite an average of 36 to 42 days to fill a position in the US… and honestly who has the time for that? Here’s three things you can do to reduce time to hire and get great talent in the door quickly: ☎️ pick up the phone — when qualified candidates submit their resume, don’t ask a recruiter to coordinate that first call. Don’t send them your Calendly. Pick up the phone and schedule that first call straight away, just like you would a great sales prospect. ✂️ cut out the recruiter pre-screen — if you can, take the initial hiring call yourself. This reduces the number of steps in the recruitment process and arguably provides the candidate a better experience. The hiring manager can tell candidates first-hand about the mechanics of the sales process and objections the sales team faces during an average cycle. And, the candidate can get a sense for the person that they might be working with. 🎯 set target deadlines and hold yourself accountable — tell candidates things like, “I aim to complete all initial interviews by Wednesday of this week” and things like, “you can expect to hear back from us no later than Tuesday afternoon.” Job searching is tough enough, so respect candidates' time and challenge yourself to reduce time to hire. #hiring #saas #sales
