At Sciton, our corporate credo is built on core values we honor and live by every day. In celebration of Pride Month, we're highlighting credo #17: "Respect diversity, openness, and different perspectives." At Sciton, this value isn't just celebrated for a day, a month, or even a year—it's woven into the very fabric of who we are. This is our company DNA. This is Sciton.

Outsourced tech support, cybersecurity, and IT management for local businesses in the Greater Philadelphia area.
Honoring Philly Pride While Pride in Philly (like everywhere) is about identity, I like to think that we are all stronger when we build on our varied identities together. I’m always thinking about business, so for me, Pride Week is a reminder that no matter what anyone’s orientation may be, the mix and acceptance of all our differences becomes a competitive strength. As companies, we know that diversity expands our understanding and acceptance. Together, we gain better insights into the world and the markets we serve, benefit from a wider range of ideas and opinions, experience greater creativity, and become more accomplished and successful as problem solvers and competitive businesses. As I’ve read about Philly Pride Week, I’ve come across these inspirational thoughts I’d like to share. Feel free to pass them on: "Inclusive and diverse companies, by nature, are more successful because they reflect the communities they serve and benefit from a wider range of perspectives." – Tim Cook "Diversity drives innovation; when we limit who can contribute, we in turn limit the problems we can solve." – Telle Whitney "Inclusivity means not ‘just we’re allowed to be there,’ but we are valued. I’ve always said: smart teams will do amazing things, but truly diverse teams will do impossible things." – Claudia Brind-Woody

When we began discussing the refresh of our core values earlier this year, we knew that inclusivity had to have a spot on the list. We see great value in having diverse skills and perspectives on our team, and we’re always asking for team feedback, whether you’ve been with us for 10 years or 10 days. For a closer look at how we value diversity at Connico, check out our recent blog!
What even IS diversity? At Connico, diversity means differences in background and differences in ways of thinking - not differences in traits or characteristics that can be readily seen. As a certified Disadvantaged Business Enterprise (DBE) firm in 29 states (as of this writing) across the country, we have a special role in promoting different perspectives and leadership in game-changing ways. In our recent blog, we share three ways our approach to diversity has unlocked value for our team and clients. Check it out! https://lnkd.in/gs4T6Ch7

🌟 Leadership Coach | 🚀 Empowering Tech Leaders & Teams | 🗣️ Speaker & Trainer | 👩🏽💻 Championing Women in Tech
🌟 The World Needs YOU. - Period. 🌟 I recently had a heartwarming chat with Laquisha Milner, a dear friend and someone whose leadership journey I deeply admire. As we spoke we touched on the challenges of being a Black Woman in Leadership and how showing up as our most authentic selves can be challenging for many reasons. LaQuisha shared a powerful thought that really hit home: "You have to know the world needs you...period." But here's the thing—she didn't just mean showing up. She meant showing up as your true, authentic self. The world doesn't just need you; it needs you to be unapologetically you. Your unique perspective, your voice, your way of doing things—these are your superpowers. In a world that often pressures all women to fit in, to conform, to hide parts of ourselves for the sake of convenience, this reminder is a beacon of hope. Whether you're pioneering in tech, advocating for quality, leading with your heart, or standing up for justice, remember: your authenticity is your strength. So to every woman navigating the complexities of the workplace, to every professional striving for excellence, and to everyone who's ever felt they needed to mask their true self to belong—this message is for you. The world needs YOUR talents, YOUR passion, and YOUR perspective, exactly as they are. The world NEEDS what only YOU can offer. Show up fully, embrace your individuality, and support others in doing the same. Because, as LaQuisha wisely put it, the world needs you. Period. And it needs you just as you are, authentically and wonderfully YOU. #Authenticity #Empowerment #Leadership #WomenInTech #BeYourself #BlackInTech #BlackHistoryMonth #WomenInTech #BlackWomenInTech #Culture #Communication #Quality #PowerHouse
