Changing nappies to feeding to pacifying the baby to giving the baby Woodward’s has always typecast as a woman’s role. With the changing times, Men learnt to chagne nappies and even burp the babies. That was the primary driver for Woodward’s Gripe Water to change its packaging, formulation and even communication. When we think of Mother's day as a brand, we reflect upon the women in our team that have been instrumental in our growth. Imagine, having a pregnant colleague and learning to understand their seasons as you still work together as a team. Imagine, working alongside a nursing mom, who has to take more breaks than usual, but still holding them up to achieve the company goals. Think of a mother of a toddler who's struggling with their toddler tantrums on phone, trying to keep up via video calls, yet still showing up for company status meetings. Consider one of us who deals with teens, and has to still keep it together and remain grounded when we're working on projects- even if they're worried if their teens will keep the home curfew. Possibly a mom of animals too, who's dedicated her life to mummying her pets. This and more are many examples of motherhood that we experience as a thriving communications firm. Even as we pride ourselves in telling African stories, we definitely appreciate the stories of the mothers in our teams, the mothers who are our clients, and experiencing the extraordinary love motherhood brings towards our growth.
