We talked to Christopher Smith, our Customer Success Manager, about ferry boat operations. He describes what the refund process is like for a Palisis customer. “Ferry boats need flexibility, just because of the size of the vessel, the number of passengers they carry, and the fact that if there's adverse weather, they may have to cancel. If they've got 100 customers coming back for refunds, they need to be able to quickly refund by the touch of a button. With Palisis, all it takes is a quick scan to get a refund, and they're off the boat within moments, as opposed to manual refunds or having to call up a complaints line. 24 euros per day or ship owner's peaceful sleep... https://lnkd.in/gUKJTcSy We have a company whose vessels enter and exit via #Bystriy Canal. The permitted draft of 5.5m allows them to do so even in laden condition. But we constantly register them in the programme, so that vessels can anchor in #Romanian territorial waters. To my question, why do you have to pay 24 euros per day for anchorage (there were cases when vessels anchored for 10 days) + minimum agency fee (as we need to check prearrivals, and add them to the system), if vsl can be 12 miles outside for free? The operator of one of these vessels told me that this way he and the direction of the company are more relaxed.
