Vextrio is affiliated with over 60 threat actors and have operated a traffic distribution system for over 7 years. The traditional cybersecurity stack lacks visibility into VexTrio domains, which leaves most organizations exposed to the myriad of threats delivered by their 78,000+ domains that have been visited by over half of enterprise networks. The above facts present VexTrio as persistent, prevalent, and relevant. Despite this, VexTrio has maintained a relatively low profile over the years. The recommended approach to blocking the VexTrio traffic distribution system and other organized crime syndicates is to proactively block the delivery infrastructure.
