A radical change! Five years ago, Daan Gorter emailed me about his vision to create a New Earth village ☀. "A new way of living to address humanity's main challenges on Earth, scalable globally. Open source and accessible to all." Around that time, I participated in a few brainstorm and mastermind sessions, but it wasn't the right moment for me to fully embark on this journey. He was a couple of years ahead :-). Over the years, we stayed connected regarding this mission to positively impact the world—a desire that has long lived within me too 🔥. That mission birthed Gaianet in 2020. After its founding, I briefly engaged in a tech project, but things weren't ready, both organizationally and personally as I welcomed my first daughter. Fast forward three-plus years, moving into 2024, I have now joined Gaianet, feeling partly like coming home and partly like taking on the greatest challenge of my life 🚀. The Core Team has clearly evolved, crystallizing its vision and adapting its strategies. The combination of heart-centered AND highly effective collaboration methods suit me—it's an honor to join their ranks. So what is it and what does it do, you ask? Gaianet is the network of networks that unites New Earth contributors in co-creation. Quite the mission 💪. Studying the Gaianet OS Playbook, delving into Holacracy for self-organization, and exploring the Gaianet Ecosystem Map has been a great way to enter this New Earth realm. (links in first comment under this post, check it out!) Currently, I'm shaping my first accountabilities within the organization. With the need to fill a number of open high-impact roles, recruitment deserves focused attention and so our Teambuilder role will be split up, and the Recruiter role is born. Apart from informing you about my move and experience joining Gaianet, I want to share this video and extend a warm invitation to connect 🤝. If my story resonates, or if you've desired to contribute meaningfully to the world, reach out! Even if it's just to say hi and (re)connect for potential future collaboration.
