Hosting time. The global sensation, Fleurs de Villes has landed in Australia from their home base in Vancouver, popping up one-of-a-kind luxury, bespoke flower shows that showcase the talents of leading local florists. FdV has returned to the Calyx at the Botanic Gardens of Sydney for a third time with the Australian premiere of their new show VOYAGE. I hosted their first exhibit - ‘Femmes’ in 2022 - and this one is focusing on the best voyage/travel destinations. Was very happy to co-host the opening with the ever-brilliant Costa Georgiadis - the man who is a walking celebration of all things nature. He really is a bona fide horticultural & entertainment legend. The exhibit - which is on until August 18 - is brilliant & a perfect way to stop & smell the roses. Literally and figuratively. FIFA has announced that the match schedule for FIFA World Cup 2026™ - Canada, Mexico & USA — the biggest and most inclusive FIFA World Cup™ ever — will be revealed on Sunday, 4 February 2024. Match schedule details will be shared during a special live broadcast, with FIFA’s digital and social media platforms also providing coverage for fans around the world. The programme will also reveal the location of the tournament’s opening matches in Canada, Mexico and the USA, the group stage locations for each host country’s national team and the venue for the eagerly awaited FIFA World Cup final, scheduled for Sunday, 19 July 2026. ✨As we approach the final days of 2023, I wanted to reflect on what a game-changing year it was for me, professionally and also personally. ⚽️ Delivering the record-breaking FIFA Women's World Cup Australia & New Zealand 2023™ on home turf this year will live on as one of my greatest ever achievements. I just cannot explain to you how much it meant and how utterly fantastic it was. IYKYK! Enough said. 🏡 In the midst of the FWWC, my family and I were given notice of our lease being terminated on our beautiful rental property - that I was way too emotionally invested in! This prompted my partner and I to buy our first home, in the middle of the Tournament! 💍 Four days after the FWWC Final, I married my best mate (after a 3 year Covid delay!). Was this a bit crazy? Yes, probably. But it meant some amazing FIFA-types could join us on our big day and the WWC party rolled on a little longer! 🍦Someway towards the end of my FWWC journey I decided I didn’t want to get “another job” - I mean, what could possibly top the past 18 months (or 9 years at FIFA) And so, Scoop Communications was born! ❤️ I feel so incredibly grateful to have had so many wonderful people and organisations reach out who want to work with me. It was a big leap of faith for me, but I couldn’t be happier or prouder to be on this track. 🙏🏼 Grateful to Snezana Hay as a PR mentor, to Martyn Hindley and co. for enabling the FIFA dream to live on in the freelance space and to my husband Dan Cooper for his daily pep-talks and letting me run off to U17s in Indonesia for a month - he’s the real MVP here. 🚀 I’m looking forward to all that 2024 will bring and I cannot wait to work and connect with new and passionate people in the Sports Comms world.
