1) The End-of-Life EV Batteries are not completely dead. Most of the time, just because of a few weak-cells, they are declared dead by the BMS. Replace just a few weak cells and, the whole #Battery is as good as the new one !!! 2) The irony of the market is that most of the #OEM glue the cells in the #BatteryPack in such a way that it's impossible to replace a Cell. So, just one cell dead, the whole pack goes to scrap...INSANE !!! 3) The other key challenge is how to spot the dead Cells in the #BatteryPack made of 1000s of cells. I have seen people dismantling the #BatteryPack and testing each #Cell one by one for hours to sort the bad ones out >> NOT a Scalable solution, this is going to be a bottleneck to #Circularity in the #Battery Industry. 4) This must change going forward to achieve true #Sustainability otherwise #Sustainability of #Sustainability itself will become a question mark. In 2019, it was able to charge a scooter in under five minutes.
