The difference? The first confuses your audience by implying multiple coaching areas. The second specifies the assistance by highlighting participation in workshops. As a New coach, you will often hear the advice. Do it for free!!! This advice may not always be the best for your business. Think of it this way. If you were selling Laptops, would you give out your first 10-20 laptops for free? You will think, well that's stupid. The customer needs the Laptop, so they should pay for it. It's the exact same principle with services. The customer needs the service and that's why they value it when they pay for it. When you offer your services for free, then it is almost impossible to retain those clients because in their head your prices stop being justified because you were willing to do the same thing for free. So what is solution for New Coaches? Your 1st , 2nd and 3rd client can be serviced for free in exchange for testimonials. Once you have the testimonials and are confident about your teaching structure. Then start charging full price from client number 4. Otherwise you will be stuck in the free loop and never get the chance to make money out of your coaching business. New Coaches should also focus on finding Mentors, instead of trying to do it all on their own. My mentor Poonam Dewan told me one simple thing, focus on networking and building credentials. They can re-invest! 2️⃣Have an evergreen course so you can leverage your time.
