ALL ABOARD 🚢 You’ve now boarded, you’ve cleared security, all of your documents have been reviewed, and your first Disney Cruise Line photos have been taken. So what do you do next? Here are the 5 things you should do as soon as you’re on board: 1️⃣ Grab a Bite to Eat - Most people head to the buffet and pools, but I recommend a relaxing lunch in the open dining room. It’s a perfect home base to reset after the hustle of embarkation. 2️⃣ Complete the Mandatory Emergency Drill - Before heading to your stateroom, participate in the mandatory emergency drill. Use the DCL Navigator App to check in at your assigned assembly station. Safety first! 3️⃣ Explore the Ship - Take some time to discover all the ship’s amenities. Check out the pools, restaurants, theatres, and kids' clubs. The DCL Navigator App will help you find everything and schedule ship tours. 4️⃣ Visit Guest Services - Some activities might show as full online but have more availability onboard. Visit Guest Services to check for openings in meet and greets, tastings, and dining reservations. 5️⃣ Decorate Your Stateroom Door - Once staterooms are ready, head to your room, drop off your carry-on, and start decorating your door! Use magnetic decorations to make it fun and easy to find. Incorporating first person POV's like how far it is to a popular attraction can be the difference maker. The Swan & Dolphin at Walt Disney World give us a great example of this. #hospitalitymarketing

Ten reasons to go to the Walt Disney World Resort in 2024. #1 Park reservations are no longer needed. There are a few circumstances where you still might need them, but as a general rule, you don’t. This is such a relief, especially when it comes to making dining reservations! It’s much easier to plan your day. #2 Journey of Water, Inspired by Moana is open. The newly renovated area is beautiful during the day but simply gorgeous at night. #3 This is a big reason to go, dining plans are back! There are two different ones to chose between. Watch out for specials where Disney offers free dining! Ask your Mystical Dream Agent to add you to their list so they can contact you when Disney offers are released! #4 Tiana’s Bayou Adventure is open! Have you seen pictures or videos of any of the animatronics? It’s amazing! #5 Hey, Star Wars fans! Star Tours has new scenes and characters added to the attraction! With the new additions, you will experience one of more than 250 storyline variations! #6 The Country Bear Jamboree is opening this summer with new acts this Some of the old songs are getting retired. I read that “Bare Necessities” might get a new style, something of a rockabilly sound! #7 The Little Mermaid Show, at Hollywood Studios, is getting reimagined! Some of the changes include, different set designs, and new effects. #8 Everyone is super excited that 1900 Park Faire is open!  The all you-can-eat breakfast and dinner buffet, located in Disney’s Grand Floridian Resort & Spa, is a character dining experience. There is no guarantee but, you might see Cinderella, Princess Tiana, Mirabel, and maybe even Aladdin! #9 The Festivals at EPCOT, add such a bonus if you are at the Walt Disney World Resort during one of them. They include special foods and merchandise. The remaining ones for 2024 are: The Food & Wine Festival (July 25, 2024, through November 16, 2024); and my favorite, the EPCOT Festival of the Holidays (From November 29, 2024, through December 30, 2024. #10 The best reason, in my opinion, to go to the Walt Disney World Resort in 2024, is to make memories. Whether you are with family or friends, and no matter what your kids age, you will always cherish the time spent at the Walt Disney World Resort! 2024 is a great year to go to the Walt Disney World Resort. Maybe you want to go because you haven’t been there for a while, maybe you’ve never been there, or, perhaps, there is something new that you want to experience.
