Scottish Canals’ Post

The Towpath project in Fountainbridge, Edinburgh has started on site, delivered by Scottish Canals and Sustrans. This project will improve the Union Canal towpath between Leamington Lift Bridge and Edinburgh Quay by upgrading the surfacing, adding lighting and increasing service amenities for those using the canal. These works, constructed by Mackenzie Construction, will both functionally and visually enhance the experience for active travel along the towpath. Together with the New Fountainbridge development it will make for a renewed, high quality urban quarter for the growing community.
