We continue to work to accelerate the introduction of 🌱#biobased materials with nanoparticles to the market through a Single Entry Point! We do so through the European project Bionanopolys (#Horizon2020), which ITENE coordinates. In its final stretch, this 📅 20 February we hosted in ITENE a presentation about the latest results and progresses on the 2nd review meeting. In addition, the improvement of the pilot plants for raw materials, bionanocomposites and bionanoproducts was reviewed, as well as the six test cases included in the open call launched in the framework of the project. EIC Accelerator winners November 2023 cut-off: spotlight on Finland-based companies. In this very competitive cut-off (success rate below 4%) Finland ranked #5 with 4 laureates, of which Zaz Ventures supported 2 companies. IQM Quantum Computers is leading the charge with its groundbreaking project, BIGQEC, which aims to build industrial-grade quantum computers with error correction and mitigation capabilities. SpinDrive emerges as a game-changer, offering the smallest, most affordable, and efficient active magnetic bearings for ultra-high-speed applications such as hydrogen applications, fuel-cell electric vehicles, heat pumps, CNC machines and vacuum pumps. Applicants had to pass a three step selection process. The crucial final interview tests the strengths, credibility and ambition of candidates' business plan in an intense jury session. Ultimately, companies need to demonstrate investment readiness to win funding that will empower them to achieve tangible impact. 42 companies where awarded €285m in total funding - grant and blended finance - selected from 1083 submissions.
