🌊 It's International Water Safety Day! 🌊 For many pool owners, the off season brings the challenge of keeping their pool area safe, clean, and visually appealing. Without a reliable cover, the pool becomes a potential hazard, especially for young children and pets. With Anchor pool covers, you not only secure your pool, but safeguard your loved ones. #WaterSafetyDay #AnchorIndustries #PoolSafety #WaterSafety #FamilyFirst

Did you know that specially trained sniffer dogs are now helping Scottish Water detect leaking water mains in rural areas like never before? Kilo, Denzel, Mylo, and Tico are the four amazing dogs making a big difference in water leak detection efforts in Scotland! By leveraging the dogs' incredible sense of smell to detect treated water at very low concentrations, Scottish Water is enhancing its leak detection capabilities in challenging terrains where traditional methods may fall short. The dogs have already identified numerous 'points of interest' in areas like Ettrickbridge, East Linton, Hawick, Jedburgh, and Mosstower, leading to the repair of several leaks and a significant reduction in water wastage. This innovative partnership between Scottish Water and Cape SPC demonstrates how a blend of modern technology and animal instincts can drive sustainable solutions for our water infrastructure. This goes to show that professionals from various backgrounds come together to ensure the efficient and sustainable management of our precious water resources. At Pragmatic we have supported the water industry through a variety of courses. We have scheduled several EUSR Safe Control of Mains Connections courses in the coming months, a half-day course designed to provide all the individuals involved in making mains connections, the knowledge and understanding of both their own roles and responsibilities and those of others, when carrying out work. This course comes with pre-requisites such as National Water Hygiene, SHEA Water or Level 2 Network Construction Operations (Water) Mains Layer and we can offer this too. We do not train sniffer dogs (yet!) but you can contact our friendly team for anything related to the water industry courses.
