Bad Habits Most forklift operators are professional and maintain the high standard of driving skills they learnt when they first obtained their High Risk Work Licence (HRWL) to drive a LF class forklift. Unfortunately, some times the rush to get work done takes precedence and corners may be cut. In other words, bad habits creep in. If left un-noticed, a culture of dangerous practice can develop and become the 'norm' through out the business leading to possible injury, death or damage. It's a good idea for employers to arrange a Verification of Competence (VOC) annually for forklift drivers to refresh skill levels and demonstrate duty of care being exercised by the employer. A VOC is also a good idea if a driver has been involved in a near miss incident. Gil Deane.

🎉 Happy National Forklift Safety Day! 🎉 Today, we raise our forks – er, I mean, forklifts – to honor the unsung heroes of the warehouse world: the mighty forklift operators! National Forklift Safety Day is here to remind us that while forklifts may seem like oversized toys, they're serious business when it comes to safety. But why do we celebrate National Forklift Safety Day, you ask? Well, it's a day to recognize the importance of proper forklift operation and safety practices. It's a day to pay homage to those brave souls who navigate narrow aisles and precarious stacks of pallets with the finesse of a ballet dancer (albeit a ballet dancer on wheels). Now, you might be thinking, "But I'm stuck behind a desk all day. How can I celebrate National Forklift Safety Day?" Fear not, my office-bound friend, for today is the perfect excuse to take a break from your computer and embark on a thrilling – and safe – forklift adventure! Yes, you heard that right – today, we're swapping cubicles for cargo bays and keyboards for control panels. So, dust off your hard hat, buckle up your seatbelt, and get ready to take a safe cruise in your trusty forklift! Whether you're lifting pallets with the precision of a brain surgeon or practicing your three-point turns in the warehouse parking lot, let the spirit of National Forklift Safety Day guide you to new heights (quite literally). After all, safety first, fun second, and maybe a celebratory donut break third! 🚜🔒📦 #safety #stunts #forklift
