It turns out that after careful consideration there is little in common between Sales Promotions & fish keeping ...... So Here's a Pic of My Fish Tank!! Aquariums often need regular water changes to keep the fish happy, which means carrying around huge buckets of water. I wanted to try and get the tank to be as "set & forget" as possible, so its plumbed into my house's water lines, with a solenoid to add more water into a reserve tank in the cabinet. This is linked to an auto top-off system for evaporation. The tank also has a drain line for easy water changes. No more lugging buckets! Its stocked Harlequin Rasbora, Green Tetra, Three-stripe Corydoras, around 40 Blue & Red Shrimp, Nerite Snails and some Assassin Snails to keep the Bladder Snails in check. I have to spend around 10 mins a week on maintenance. Sometimes, the most elaborate, beautiful results come from taking the time to plan and build the right foundation. Whether it's a sales promotion or a fish tank, success is often found in the details most people overlook. 😉

Since we live in France, my wife and I go (almost) every Saturday to the market nearby. We always buy fresh vegetables, cheese, meat and of course ‘saucissons sec’. As I’m in sales and always wonder why someone is buying at supplier ‘A’ instead of supplier ‘B’, I ran in a real life situation. Why do we always buy the ‘saucissons sec’ at the same market booth? While there are three sellers at the market. · They all sell the exact same ‘saucissons sec’ · For three pieces you pay €11,- or €12,- · One booth is very basic, but the most expensive (€12,- for three) · Two booths are tip top dressed up (both €11,- for three) Why do we always buy at the ‘expensive’ one? This means that it’s not about the price (although there is no huge difference), but for me authenticity, service and the person is selling it.
