Looking forward to watching this. It is so important for us as women to start advocating for ourselves and our own health. 💪 From our own experience, we see so many people each day who feel isolated, desperate and dismissed from the healthcare system, which simply does not seem to cater or even care about their needs. 👎 Those facing vaginal discomfort for example are often designated either as having a yeast overgrowth, or BV, and simply given a course of antibiotics or candida. Not only does this ignore many of the underlying reasons as to why one may be experiencing discomfort, but also fails to empower the patient with the knowledge required to optimise and change their intimate health, holistically. 🌺 We hope this evidence marks a shift in attitudes towards women's health and women's bodies - beyond being 'more complicated versions' of men's. 👩⚕️ We look forward to being part of a future where women are able to get the answers, AND solutions to their concerns and needs. 😍

Tomorrow, our Chief Executive, Janet Lindsay, will be giving evidence at the Women and Equalities Committee's inquiry on ‘Women’s reproductive health’.  The focus will be on the barriers women face receiving timely and accurate diagnosis and possible solutions to this. This is the second oral evidence session, following the compelling testimonies from broadcaster and journalist Naga Munchetty, plus broadcaster and TV personality Vicky Pattison. Who both shared their experiences of living with #menstrual and #GynaecologicalHealth conditions and the issues they faced in securing effective diagnosis and treatment.
