At Scribd, Inc., our employees have the opportunity to work from almost anywhere in the world through our Scribdflex benefit. Although a favored perk, employees have increasingly been asking for more regular in-person co-working opportunities. So how do you bring ~300 dispersed employees across various cities together? Our CEO, Tony Grimminck, partnered with our People Experience team to brainstorm. The goal was to maximize the benefits of gathering – community, cross-functional connection, and collaboration – without a return-to-office mandate. Our answer: Hub Days - a once per month in-person co-working (and fun!) session taking place across 8 different cities and 3 countries. Amid some expected initial skepticism, our employees have found an overall positive energy and appreciation for in-person Hub Days, with many meeting co-workers and teammates they hadn’t interacted with in-person before. We’re only two Hub Days in so far and excited to see how this initiative grows in the months to come. We’re curious: how does your company bring employees together? #remotework #connection #coworking

It’s difficult to find the right balance between getting people together in person to build community, problem solving and collaboration. Between hub days and other in person team events balanced with the flexibility we give employees in working from home, I feel we are striking the right balance.

I am being charged, I don’t use your service.  Please issue a refund.

Great idea! I believe that in-person working sessions would be fulfilling as they would alleviate the isolation that is inherent in remote work. This environment strikes a perfect balance, blending flexibility with a sense of community, making it the ideal work setting.

I am being charged by scribd on a monthly basis even though I cancelled my subscription a while ago (in 2020). Who do I contact, Please do you have an address, customer service, or some department that can deal with this problem?
