KIRBY, the truth will prevail. Encouragement for the killing of innocent people will not go unpunished. Israel has the right to defend itself, but against whom? The people it bombs and kills on the land it occupies? The Palestinian detainees it rapes and tortures to death? The Golan Heights is not Israeli land. The ICJ's Advisory Opinion calls for the immediate withdrawal of illegally occupied territories. Kirby in your statement in the name of the United States you encouraged that Israel continues its illegal occupation of the Golam Heights. Do Palestenian detainees have any rights? Do the Palestenians have the rights to defend themselves? The US has the right to support Israel in its genocide and illegal occupation. This article I wrote for the OC Register and LA Daily News about the "ceasefire movement" in local City Councils reveals how highly orchestrated and not "local" these efforts really are. When local governments give sanction to and embolden antisemitic rhetoric from the authority of their chambers, society as a whole should be alarmed. Centuries of restrictive dictates against Jews, exiles, pogroms, and the Holocaust all began with the legitimization of Jew hatred by local governments. We should all pray for peace in the Middle East. However, even when there is indeed a ceasefire between Israel and Hamas, these city council “activists” are not going away; because the true aim was never the ceasefire. It is the destruction of Israel. These agitators have found a way into American government. Unless we take concerted actions to stop them, these mobs will continue to manipulate our democracy to bring Jew hatred into the center of our town and cities. https://lnkd.in/giPaWzBe
