Today on #WorldMentalHealthDay, we’re reminded of the importance of mental well-being. Challenges with mental health affect everyone, but certain groups can face additional barriers to seeking help.
For example, men are less likely to seek support, contributing to higher rates of suicide—especially in communities where traditional gender roles and cultural expectations can suppress vulnerability. Factors like race, class, neurodivergence, and disability also interact in ways that can deepen mental health challenges for individuals. Marginalised communities encounter systemic obstacles that hinder their access to adequate mental healthcare.
At Scrumconnect, we’re committed to supporting mental health for all, both within our team and in the public sector work we do. Last month, we held an enlightening mental health session for staff, part of our ongoing effort to create an open and supportive work environment.
Lastly, we'd like to recommend this video highlighting a football initiative in Middlesbrough that promotes mental health awareness in the North East: https://lnkd.in/e3hNMzUx
Let’s continue to break the stigma and work toward inclusive solutions that address mental health disparities. #MentalHealthMatters #BreakTheStigma #Scrumconnect
