How important is it to look back and reflect? Today marks 6 months of not working for someone else, and putting my effort into Sport Design Australia. These are some of the words that come to mind when I think about the journey Cassandra, Reece and I are on (It's been a rollercoaster): • Rewarding • Confusing • Liberating • Exhausting • Challenging By no means has this been easy. We’ve failed more than we’ve succeeded, had to grind beyond belief, and all made sacrifices to get to where we are. But today’s reflection has so many positives for us to build off. Our past 6 months have been our best as a business, we’re starting to get cut-through in the market and we’ve worked across a new range of rights holders, teams, athletes, broadcasters, and wagerers. Importantly, we're having the most fun doing what we love, with brands keen to push the boundaries. As we look ahead to the next 12 months, there are going to be some things we are going to be focused on with ferocity: • More impact in grassroots & women’s sport • Broadening our creative network & capability • Delivering more value for the creative community • Helping to solve more creative & design challenges • Educating the market on the importance of remarkable creative We’re not going to be for everyone, and that’s ok. But for those that we are right for, we can’t wait to create more cool shit and continue changing the sports industry together. Let's get to work 🤝

🚀✨ Behind every successful venture, there's a powerhouse team making magic happen. It's like watching Caitlin Clark on the basketball court – it's not just about sinking those awe-inspiring 3-pointers; it's how she sets up her teammates to shine just as brightly. That's the beauty of a great team in the business world. When we play to our strengths and support each other's weaknesses, we don't just achieve our goals; we exceed them. When we rise, we lift everyone around us. #teamsuccess #wildwomanmarketing #marketingtips

Final two groups of the Fall 2023 semester all done!! One launched a sports tournament, Rosen College Sports Tournament, on Main Campus with live music, prizes, and competitions in 3v3 volleyball, for hole and spike ball. The other group, launched a concert called Rhythm of the Knight, featuring four super talented artists, a custom drink menu, prizes, and a goodbye gift for all attendees. So proud of all the groups this semester on their successful launches!! They learned about venue booking, talent booking & programming, marketing campaign, fundraising, PR, show flow, running an event, dealing with clients, and much more. Two concerts, a pet show, a sports tournament, a film premiere & wrap party, and a podcast launched this Fall. Fun, diverse forms of entertainment, and they’ve overcome all challenges. They’re ready for the real world!! 🙌🏽🙌🏽🙌🏽🙌🏽 I have a few more spots in this course for Soring 2024 (HFT4378 Portfolio Management). Do something real, build your network, and develop real life skills before you graduate! Let’s goooo!! 🚀🚀🚀🚀

Just a few thoughts about pickleball and clubs. As the pickleball phenomenon continues to gain momentum, it is very interesting to see how those that have never spent time in the sports landscape learn how to navigate situations on court, how competitive players push themsleves, and how people in general react to pickleball. There are so many things you learn growing up in sports that many never learned and are learning in the 40s, 50s, or older. As programs grow across the country, it is important that those in charge of them focus on more than just numbers, but the overall health of the group. A great pickleball program is more than just how competitive the play is. You can tell a program is successful by the sense of community on court and off court. As programs grow, there can be segmentation, but I notice how it expands and contracts and works in waves sort of. at first people learn then they split up but after a time with good leadership all levels can intermingle and still find time for both social fun and competitive play. Losing the social aspect of this game can be a killer for any program so make sure to keep the group together at times!
