Enabling Leaders to Deliver Amazing Results 📖 Reading: “Raving Fans" 🚀 Director of Client Success 💡 ITS

Most see my professional achievements, but the reality is: 𝗔 𝗱𝗲𝗰𝗮𝗱𝗲 𝗮𝗴𝗼, I was unsure about moving from individual contributor to management. 𝗙𝗼𝘂𝗿 𝘆𝗲𝗮𝗿𝘀 𝗮𝗴𝗼, I wrestled with the decision to leave a secure position. 𝗧𝗵𝗶𝘀 𝘆𝗲𝗮𝗿, I faced doubts about whether I'm truly cut out for this work. It’s easy to appear strategic on a resume. But being honest, I face the dilemma of passion versus practicality and the challenges of introversion in a leadership role. For me, it feels like balancing two sides of myself. I've realized I won't always be the perfect leader, but I aim to improve bit by bit daily. My introversion has shown me the importance of reflective leadership and consistent, small actions. This method helps me manage my energy and nurture a team culture that values diversity and empathy. Despite the energy it takes, I'm still committed to improving a bit every day, leading with empathy and integrity. Self-awareness is a skill and should be something that we are all taught. Because, without self-awareness, your work performance will never reach its full potential. Here are four signs you may be lacking self-awareness: 1. You struggle to stay consistently engaged and motivated at work. 2. You frequently experience anger and frustration over seemingly minor issues. 3. You have difficulty managing feedback, often feeling compelled to change yourself based on others' opinions, leading to a lack of direction. 4. Despite following all the “right rules” for a career, something feels missing, and you lack a clear career vision. If you’re experiencing any of these signs, please reach out. Self-awareness can be developed quickly, and you'll be surprised at how focused, clear, and excited about work you can become when you are more self-aware. #SelfAwareness #CareerGoals #UnlockPotential #SomethingIsMissing #CareerWellness #PeakPerformance #ZoneofGenius #LovingWork #Leadership

POV: the world needs more people who enjoy and are good at their work. Think about it. When we are fulfilled and passionate in our careers, it creates a ripple effect. We bring our best selves to work, inspire others, and contribute to a more positive and productive (work) environment. Not to mention how much our loved ones benefit from the happier version of us that exists when we’re doing fulfilling work. I truly believe the world benefits and is better when people are thriving at work. But the reality is that so many of us are either stuck in jobs that drain them or don´t have a successful role model. We feel unchallenged, undervalued, and uninspired. This isn’t just bad for us; it’s a loss for everyone. We need a shift. We need to create a world where we can pursue careers that align with our skills, values, and passions. A world where we feel supported, empowered, and celebrated for our unique contributions. So, what can you do? If you’re someone who enjoys your work, share your story! Inspire others and show them what’s possible. ♻ to share with your network 💜 to support Follow Laura Lund #coaching #leadership #businesscoaching #careers

The most important skill in life? Getting along with people. 🤝 In my five years of working, I’ve seen talented individuals struggle simply because they couldn’t connect with others. It’s not just in the workplace — think about family gatherings. The most liked people aren’t necessarily those with big titles or bank accounts; they’re the ones who laugh easily and make everyone feel valued. 🤍 If you want to grow, focus on your people skills as much as your professional ones. Learn to communicate with different kinds of people, balance logic with empathy, and take feedback seriously — not personally. Being good with people can accelerate your career because it shows you’re level-headed and approachable. Want to improve your life? Start with your people skills. ✨ Treat others as you’d like to be treated and watch the difference it makes. Agree? Drop your thoughts in the comments. ☺️ #PeopleSkills #CareerGrowth #Leadership

Here's a nugget of profound wisdom: Being in the company of intelligent individuals is a boon, not a challenge. Their wealth of knowledge and diverse perspectives can elevate you in extraordinary ways. Yet, our own insecurities often lead us to perceive sharp-witted colleagues as adversaries rather than allies. Here's a game plan for a paradigm shift: ☑️ Embrace a mindset of learning rather than proving yourself. Approach interactions with an open mind, not defensiveness. ☑️ Recognize and celebrate the strengths of your teammates. Supporting their victories doesn't diminish your own shine. ☑️ Harness the power of synergy. Combine your unique strengths with the superpowers of your colleagues. ☑️ Don't shy away from seeking assistance. Inviting input from others is a mark of wisdom and confidence, not weakness. When surrounded by brilliance, your own potential knows no bounds. ------------------------------------------------------------------------------- If this message resonates with you, share ♻️ it with your network. Get Rid of Self-Limits Most of what limits you in your career (or on the job search) is a lie. We “self-limit” all the time based on experiences we’ve been through. Check the thoughts that float through your mind- are they true? Thoughts of negativity, self-judgement, and self-doubt might go through your mind but it doesn’t mean they are true. How would you speak to someone else who had terrible thoughts like that? What would you tell them? You would call out discouraging and disabling thoughts as a lie and help them. Let's also do that for you! FIVE THOUGHTS! - TACKLE that thing at work that is difficult when you doubt if you can do it - APPLY for that job you think you are not ready for but you’d love - SOLVE that difficult problem everyone is complaining about - HAVE a hard conversation that is holding you back - REJECT self-doubt and sometimes even do something because of the doubt #careerdevelopment #careers #careeradvice #leadership #leadershipdevelopment #leaders #inspiration #motivation

Coaching and Training Leaders & Teams to Transition & Thrive in their Career. Career & Leadership Coach | Outplacement Consultant | Executive Outplacement | DISC Profiling. Championing Single Parents and ADHDers.
Things I’ve noticed over the years:- When someone is looking for a new job, it’s never just about a CV or LinkedIn profile. 🦋It’s about mindset, confidence and strategy. When someone is feeling unconfident in their leadership, it’s never just about a difficult colleague or conversation. 🦋It’s about self-leadership, growth mindset and resilience. When someone wants to make positive change, it’s not just thinking about it, or saying it out loud. 💫It’s about taking action. So here’s my reminder. 😊You can explore what’s holding you back. 😊You can embrace the unknown. 😊You can learn new skills to be more confident. 😊You can absolutely make positive change. And YOU are powerful, in so many ways. From a woman who has made so much positive change in her life the last few few years, I know it’s not always easy to do this. But it’s absolutely possible. If you want to feel empowered and supported along the way with coaching for yourself or your team, DM me. You most definitely do not have to stay stuck. #EmpoweringCareers #Coaching #CareerTransition #Outplacement #CareerDevelopment #Leadership

Early in my career, I was once told, "Shut up and do it how I taught you to, or I'll fire you." Those words terrified me. At that point in my career, I was brash and overconfident, but I never saw myself as insubordinate. For years, I found my career growth stunted—not by others, but by myself. My confidence was shattered, and even now, if I don't get things perfect, I sometimes hear those words in the back of my mind. However, with the help of many great colleagues and some self-reflection, I've realized that I overcome those words from early in my career every day. That experience shaped me in countless ways and taught me invaluable lessons: 1. Empathy and Open-mindedness: It showed me the kind of manager and co-worker I did NOT want to be. It taught me patience, active listening, and a willingness to embrace new ideas. 2. Humanity and Humility: It revealed that my confidence was not invincible and that I am human. Up until that point, I thought others' opinions didn't matter to me. I was wrong, and that humbling experience has influenced my career ever since. I continue to overcome what I learned that day. 3. Resilience in the Face of Intimidation: It taught me that while something might seem daunting in the moment, it's rarely the end of the world. I remind myself of this every single day. Vulnerability is not easy to display, and it's something I continue to work on. But embracing it has made me a stronger, more compassionate leader. If you've ever faced similar challenges, know that you're not alone. Our toughest moments often teach us the most valuable lessons. Let’s strive to support each other, cultivate a culture of empathy, and always be open to growth. 🌟 #personalgrowth #leadership #leadershiplessons #humanresources #workculture
