It probably sounds like a no-brainer, but giving your team the resources they ask for is a total game changer. It sparks their creativity and innovation, leading to cooler ideas and better solutions. When your people feel empowered, they're more engaged and happy at work, which means they're likely to stick around longer. And here's a bonus: as they take on more responsibility, they're also gearing up to be the next leaders in your organization. So yeah, giving your team more resources and individual attention? It's a win-win.

Visionary (CEO) at EOS Worldwide | Empowering Businesses with the Entrepreneurial Operating System | Author of People: Dare to Build an Intentional Culture
Same Page Meetings are critical, especially in partnerships, to ensure the leadership is fully aligned for the benefit of the company, its culture, and its people. The idea is to meet monthly for a few hours to reconnect, solve outstanding issues, share frustrations, and express concerns. While these meetings can sometimes be intense, their purpose is to clear the air and resolve issues, ensuring everyone is moving forward together and on the same page. Kelly and I spoke on this last year at the EOS Conference in Indianapolis. Here's a snippet from that breakout session where we dove into this topic deeper.

Despite hating it, team leaders dedicated 20% of their time to listening to colleagues' calls. This practice not only demoralised the team morale but also consumed a significant amount of time. When asked why they persist, they simply said, "That's how it's always been done." Because of overwhelm, the team leaders had given up their power to question why they spent 20% of their time on a task with no value. However, by equipping them with the courage, tools and permission to challenge, a transformative shift occurred. This shift redirected focus from mundane, low-value tasks towards meaningful people development. As a result, they not only eradicated the sources of overwhelm, but they also witnessed significant enhancements in performance, retention, and engagement, as they invested more time in nurturing the individuals they led. Understanding the impact of company culture on success, and drawing from our extensive experience working with over 500 leaders and spending thousands of hours with them one-on-one, we've created a free guide identifying 5 red flags that block team growth. Who is better than you will allways recognise your potential and value. The one below you can't see even the value of their own worth, so why bother when you're evaluation comes from lowest level of consciousness

Do your actions align with your words?
A department leader in my company told me during a meeting: "I want to take your job one day. I will be CEO one day." Me: "Great, do you want to be CEO or yell at your team?" He yelled at team members and did not think I knew about it. Me: "Yelling at people won't get you promoted but will get you fired. So what do you want more? Do you want to be CEO and a leader in this company or keep yelling at your team?" Him: "I want to be CEO and a leader." For the next month, I watched his behavior closely. He was great for a week and right after that he snapped and kept yelling at his team. For that reason, he never was a leader in our company. Don't listen to what people say. Pay attention to what they do.
