HIT REWIND – August 2024 Reminding us of warmer times, we throw it back today to summer again and August where we bought you another jargon busting, mech fix or screw down what is the difference? They sound like the same thing right? In the wonderful world of raised floor they have two separate meanings and locations. MECH FIX – this is also called mechanical fixing and relates to the secondary screwing down of pedestals (after the pedestal adhesive has cured) to the sub floor to assist with the pedestal remaining attached to the sub floor. SCREW DOWN – this relates to the panel being screwed into the pedestal head. Panels come in either gravity lay or screw down systems. Screw down panels are often used in areas where ceramic finishes are being applied to avoid any movement that could crack the finish.

Do you know what is flush bolt?❓❓ Flush bolt is an anti-theft component that prevents doors and windows from being opened from the outside. Common latch is generally made of stainless steel, aluminum alloy or zinc alloy, and has good corrosion resistance and durability. The latch generally consists of two parts: one is a latch rod fixed on the door surface that can move left and right, and the other is a latch ring fixed on the door cover. The two are at the same horizontal position and correspond to each other. Bolts can be divided into two types: exposed latches and concealed latches. Exposed latches are relatively affordable and easy to install, while concealed latches have better anti-theft capabilities and require professionals to install. Bolts are mainly used on doors and windows to improve the safety of doors and windows.♐♐

How to fit intumescent seal on fire doors? 1. When applying paint, be careful not to install if the surface is only dry but the interior is not completely dry. 2. Except for specific stretchable materials, do not stretch the material. Special attention should be paid to the need to press on the product surface during installation. This step is designed to allow the tape to fill the uneven pores of the different material surfaces. 🏡 Build Update 🛠️ We’ve made huge progress since the Fixing Stage of Lot 852! Here's what’s been ticked off: ✅ Completed: Pre-paint QA inspection and plaster preparation. Painting: Internal and lower external areas finished. External Works: Driveways, pathways, fencing, and turf underlay installed. Site Clean: Temporary fencing removed and site fully cleaned. Installations: Ceiling insulation, air conditioning fit-off, and internal sealing completed. Measurements: Screens, mirrors, shelving, and window coverings measured. #Isolation during #maintenance activities is crucial to safety, and requirements are carefully examined during design reviews and #HAZOP sessions. This short clip describes isolation by blinds (spades or spectacles). A few tips: - Spectacle is combination of spade (slip blind) and spacer, and is available and used only in small sizes as it becomes too heavy to operate in large sizes. - A spacer is installed wherever there is a need to install a blind LATER ON, so that proper space is reserved for the blind. - Wherever a spacer is installed, a similar spade should be available in the warehouse.
