I'm excited about the possibilities with Orion's Generative AI (Wingman) solution! We have strived over the years to make the richness of the information that we generate accessible to different personas in the Enterprise. Wingman will make it easy for anyone in an Enterprise get contextual information in a format that is easy to understand. It's great to see our platform the Enterprise Information Intelligence Graph (EIIG) evolve to allow different personas in the enterprise become hyperaware without needing to learn another user interface. #llm #generatieveai #metadatamanagement #bcbs #internalaudit #datalineage #datafabric #datascience

As Thor hurls the enchanted hammer with an initial velocity of 20 m/s at a 30-degree angle, calculate the duration Mjölnir spends in the air before reaching Captain's hand. The distance between Thor and Captain America is 20m.

My undergrad senior thesis was on the IDF during the 1973 Yom Kippur War. It was the closest modern #Israel ever came to absolute destruction. Many similarities to #Ukraine last year. US Army TRADOC studies of the conflict afterwards played a major role in reshaping U.S. military doctrine against the Soviets in Europe during the Cold War. The lessons learned involved: (1) The necessity of cover and concealment during movement. (2) The importance of superior training for tank crews. (3) Improved lethality and accuracy of anti-tank and anti-air missiles. (4) The importance of combined-arms warfare. Sound familiar? Much of the military doctrine that the West is trying to teach Ukraine came out of the Middle East 50 years ago. For all we know, Ukraine today may be reshaping U.S. Military doctrine for decades to come. In US theaters on the 25th. #REFERENCES: (1) Doyle, Joseph S. (February 2019). "The 155ft vessel is one of the fastest combat ships in the world, reaching speeds of up to 60 knots. It has an air cushioned catamaran design which makes it highly manoeuvrable and it's shallow draft allows it to access waters others can't." Checkmate has worked with the Royal Norwegian Navy for over 20 years, delivering skirts for surface effect ships just like this that are used in high-speed scenarios across unforgiving waters. We've had a long standing relationship with the RNoN, delivering new skirts for vessels ready for deployment, as well as repairing and returning existing skirts to be used again. And it's not just the Royal Norwegian Navy we deliver these skirts for; find out more about how we pioneer new designs for surface effect ship skirts & hover barge skirts on our blog. https://lnkd.in/ewDNWUmz #surfaceeffectships #hoverbargeskirts #rubberengineering #defencesolutions #engineeringexcellence

Rethinking the "Hard Choices" Mantra We often hear that "easy choices lead to a hard life" and vice versa. While there's truth to the value of embracing challenges, it's crucial to remember: Easy doesn't mean bad: Sometimes, the easiest path leads to a perfectly fulfilling and enjoyable life. Don't shame yourself for choosing convenience or comfort when it aligns with your goals and well-being. Not all pain leads to progress: Suffering isn't a prerequisite for growth. Blindly taking the "hard road" can lead to burnout and missed opportunities. Choose challenges wisely, focusing on those that contribute to your long-term goals and happiness. Easy can be part of the easy life: Sometimes, the seemingly obvious path hides unexpected challenges, while the "easy" choice might lead to more ease than you realize. Don't be afraid to explore and trust your intuition. Life is complicated. Remember, a balanced approach is key. Embrace both challenge and ease, prioritize well-being, and make conscious choices that align with your values and long-term vision. The "easy life" might not be as far-fetched as you think.
"Easy choices, hard life. Hard choices, easy life. If you have 2 choices to make, and they’re relatively equal choices, take the path more difficult and more painful in the short term. Because, as you know, most of the gains in life come from suffering in the short term so you can get paid in the long term. For example, things like learning and exercising regularly may not be fun in short-term, but in long-term they have a positive net effect. So generally you want to lean into things with short-term pain, but long-term gain." - Naval Ravikant #longtermthinking #continuouslearning #compounding

Here is a good quote from General Amos.
"A Marine is a Marine. I set that policy two weeks ago - there's no such thing as a former Marine. You're a Marine, just in a different uniform and you're in a different phase of your life. But you'll always be a Marine because you went to Parris Island, San Diego, or the hills of Quantico. There's no such thing as a former Marine." - James F.
