Leader of teams. Celebrating success and lessons learned together. Class of 2021 AHP Top 40 Under 40.
I'll be presenting at our upcoming All Staff meeting about our #directmarketing programs on Tuesday. To prepare, I asked the team to submit questions they would like me to address in the presentation and I'm so glad that Nicolle Germain, MBA jumped in with this one: What is the magic at University Hospital Foundation that has helped support our growing programs? Typically, this is where I dive into the nitty gritty. The segmentation, the channel-responsiveness, cost-to-acquire, best practice, etc. But upon reflection, I'm grateful for the organization for creating the environment for these programs to thrive. There are likely more factors at play here but I've landed on three: 1. The Organization identified a specific problem to solve for (I'll detail this at the presentation). 2. The Executive Team allocated resources (created positions - specifically Director of Annual Giving) to solve for the problem. 3. The Executive Team maintained an open mind to new ideas and approaches. Together, the Organization started seeing there was a better way. Without these three factors, there is no chance for success. You can have all the best ideas but without defining the problem clearly, without the resources, and without trust, nothing can be achieved.
Sean, you are such a strong thinker and leader. As a result of your contributions we excel! Thank you for all that you do.

10moI think you missed the most critical factor: they hired Sean Capri.
