FirstNet and NIST 5x5 in Chicago: International cooperation and interoperability efforts continue gaining momentum. The 5x5 team has assembled an impressive panel of leaders from TCCA-Critical Communications (Tero Pesonen), Finland (Antti Kauppinen), France (Guillaume LAMBERT), and Canada (Inspector (Ret.) Lance Valcour O.O.M.) to join US speakers Brianna Huettel, PMP, Jeff Bratcher, and Brad Morell. France's efforts to secure effective roaming capability supporting cross-border operations and domestic resilience are especially noteworthy. It is a difficult challenge that will take commitment and engagement with GSMA. Finland's collaborations with Nordic partners is helping steer the mission-critical device market on a proper course. Finally, Canada is stepping up its engagements towards interoperability. This panel will be an excellent opportunity to hear the latest. https://lnkd.in/daaVPEiz

Trust and safety are crucial components of any society, especially when it comes to the functioning of government departments and public services. In recent years, there has been a trend towards downsizing trust and safety departments within the U.S. government, leaving many to question the potential consequences of such actions. One area where trust and safety are particularly important is in the operation of Maritime Autonomous Surface Ships (MASS) entering U.S. borders. Additionally, trust and safety are also critical in the oversight of U.S. Public Utilities. The downsizing of trust and safety departments can have a significant impact on the overall safety and security of these systems, as well as on the well-being of the general public.
