MPE2024 truly met the expectations I had before this event, lot of chats, brainstorming and opportunities for industry collaborations. Very happy as well about pitching here Congrify for the first time and huge congratulations to all the participating startups and to the winner of the competition Torus , surely many interesting solutions presented to the payments industry that can be very relevant to merchants and providers. My 3 takeaways from the conversations I had over the last days: - Merchant representatives are asking for more “merchants-only” events and closed round tables to share experiences and feedbacks about their payment management - Some topics are always hyped in the industry, for example payments orchestration or open banking, but there are so many things going on the merchant sides that hyped topics end up being “nice to haves”, some companies should invest more energy in hiring payment experts to make it a stronger revenue center - Many discussions about “we don’t know what we don’t know”, tools are often missing to highlight actual problems or areas that should be improved in payment processing and this is especially relevant on the payments back-end processes related to data, such as cost validations and reconciliation. The question is not often if there will be an issue related to data, but when exactly will it appear. Thanks to the organizers and all the people i have met this week, see you soon!! #FinTech #CashFlowUnderwriting #Banking #FinancialServices Historically only banks with deposit relationships had the advantage of leveraging "deposit/relationship data" within underwriting - Thanks to open banking and infrastructure (Plaid, Finicity, Yodlee, etc.) new scores are emerging - some of them are built only using cash flow data like Prism CashScore, NovaScore Cash Flow and other that combines both credit and cash flow data like Vantage 4plus. The question is whether these scores will go mainstream since cash flow data is "consumer permissioned" and is a high friction path within the application process? I am watching this space closely to see what incremental value both consumers and Financial Institutions stand to gain, which will ultimately drive up the adoption. On paper, it positively impacts thin file and new immigrant consumers; For lending companies, it will expand the credit base and help with better assessment of creditworthiness. https://lnkd.in/dvTBvZEA

Members from Aptic Product team attended the webinar held by Svensk Inkasso where the new code of conduct for debt collection was presented. To start with, we want to thank Svensk Inkasso for the great effort made to create the new guidelines and a professional presentation of the same! Our main impression is that the new code is modernised and better suited to how debts arise nowadays, and how a situation can be resolved faster for the debtor. We have not identified any need for changes in our solutions to fit the new guidelines. Existing functionality and our latest improvements and upcoming new features within distribution, debtor communication and payment possibilities will fit the processes well. On the other hand, we are happy to discuss any ideas that arise for our users as they process the new guidelines. A new point in the guidelines is a clearly higher requirement for the training of the collectors, Aptic is happy to assist if there is a need for targeted sessions in this area. #debtcollection #codeofconduct
