This isn't the first post I wanted to make, but it's necessary to shine a light on a significant issue in our current job search environment. Let's talk about the challenges of job applications and how technology should make it easier, not harder. As someone navigating the already stressful environment of job hunting, I find systems like Workday particularly tedious. Applying for jobs should be straightforward and user-friendly, but with Workday, it often feels like navigating a maze. The multiple steps and repetitive data entry significantly extend the application process, which can be disheartening and exhausting. We are in an era where user experience should be at the forefront of software development, especially when it comes to something as critical as applying for jobs. Many companies are shifting to more streamlined, intuitive systems that respect applicants' time and energy. It's high time for industry-wide adoption of such efficient practices.
