Join the Lighting Design Lab for a webinar on Building Electrification and Decarbonization! "The building industry is changing its design and construction practices to produce more efficient buildings that produce fewer (or no) greenhouse gas emissions. In this webinar, innovators from PAE’s Regenerative Design Group present building electrification as a key pathway to building decarbonization along with strategies to comply with new regulations. This session details the barriers to building electrification and applies MEP (Mechanical, Electrical & Plumbing) technology and smart design strategies to achieve cost-conscious, carbon-efficient, all-electric buildings. 🌟 Success Story: Custom House Phase 1 🌟 As part of the heritage and legacy of AMF MEP we are proud to celebrate the work of our team and take inspiration and learning from all of their endeavours past and present. One such valuable piece of learning was The Custom House Phase 1 project, a groundbreaking initiative in London’s Newham borough. This venture transformed a single block into 90 Passivhaus-accredited residential units, showcasing a commitment to sustainability and energy efficiency in which the MEP was spearheaded by our very own CEO. 🔹 #Innovations: Passivhaus has 3 different levels of accreditation, Classic, Plus & Premium, this project was aiming for Passivhaus Classic. Spiral ducts allowed for a reduced pressure drop across the ventilation system which in turn increased the SFP Specific Fan Power of the MVHR’s. 🔹 #Achievements: Exceeded environmental standards, created a healthier living environment and set new benchmarks in residential design. Learn how AMF MEP leads in sustainable urban construction. ➡️ https://d36.co/1bRs8 #SuccessStory #SustainableDesign #AMFMEP #Passivhaus #EnergyEfficiency #AtTheHeartofConstruction #MechanicalEngineering #ElectricalEngineering #PublicHealthEngineering #Construction

COLLECTIF Engineering and BlocPower are paving the Building Electrification road in NYC A collaboration between COLLECTIF Engineering PLLC and BlocPower is making waves in New York City’s Clean Energy and Sustainability initiatives COLLECTIF Engineering PLLC is a New York City Mechanical, Electrical, Plumbing (MEP) consulting firm delivering building engineering design from concept to construction. BlocPower is a mission-driven climate technology company dedicated to fostering a future where every home and building serves as a catalyst for progress and positive change. The pair has come together to assist NYC buildings in transitioning their fossil fuel-based energy sources to more sustainable methods through the process of Building Electrification. In order to reduce carbon emissions significantly, in 2021 New York City passed Local Law 154 which requires all new buildings to be completely electric and fossil fuel free by 2027 - making New York the largest city in the world to phase out fossil fuels completely from new developments. (Urban Green Council) By prioritizing sustainable MEP design principles, buildings can minimize resource consumption, lower operational costs, and adhere to new city laws - ultimately advancing the transition towards a more environmentally responsible environment. As developers grapple with the changing energy landscape, COLLECTIF Engineering PLLC and BlocPower continue to lead the way, pioneering innovations to make the transition to clean energy more accessible.

Design development of ventilation systems is a key aspect of ensuring a comfortable and safe microclimate in premises of various purposes, from residential buildings to industrial enterprises. Effective ventilation systems not only maintain optimal temperature and humidity levels, but also ensure sufficient air exchange, removing polluted air and preventing the spread of odors and harmful substances. ⚡️The choice between natural and mechanical ventilation depends on the type of building and its function. Natural ventilation uses architectural solutions to stimulate airflow, whereas mechanical ventilation requires the installation of fans and ducts. It is necessary to calculate exactly how much fresh air is needed to keep the air quality at an optimal level. This depends on the number of people, the equipment in the room and the specifics of the activity. The ventilation system should be integrated with the heating, air conditioning and building management systems to optimize performance and energy consumption. The project must comply with local building codes, air quality standards and safety requirements. Systems should be designed to provide easy access for regular maintenance, cleaning, and repair. 🌐 https://dpm.global/ 📩 info@dpm.global #dpm #dpmglobal #dpmproject #construction #industrialconstruction #design #engineering #epcm #projectmanagement #constructionmanagement #bim #architecture

𝐇𝐨𝐰 𝐰𝐞 𝐮𝐬𝐞 𝐑𝐄𝐒𝐜𝐡𝐞𝐜𝐤 𝐟𝐨𝐫 𝐞𝐧𝐞𝐫𝐠𝐲 𝐞𝐟𝐟𝐢𝐜𝐢𝐞𝐧𝐜𝐲 While the demand for high rising energy efficient buildings are skyrocketing, how many of us follow the building codes and build them accordingly? Ever wondered how softwares like 𝙍𝙀𝙎𝙘𝙝𝙚𝙘𝙠 does the work like it’s as flat as a pancake? Well, 𝙍𝙀𝙎𝙘𝙝𝙚𝙘𝙠 makes sure the building codes are properly followed and thus the buildings are both 𝘤𝘰𝘴𝘵 𝘢𝘯𝘥 𝘦𝘯𝘦𝘳𝘨𝘺 𝘦𝘧𝘧𝘪𝘤𝘪𝘦𝘯𝘵. This software is used by engineers, architects and builders and developed by the U.S. 𝘿𝙚𝙥𝙖𝙧𝙩𝙢𝙚𝙣𝙩 𝙤𝙛 𝙀𝙣𝙚𝙧𝙜𝙮 (𝘿𝙊𝙀) to help make sure the buildings are built under the 𝙄𝙣𝙩𝙚𝙧𝙣𝙖𝙩𝙞𝙤𝙣𝙖𝙡 𝙀𝙣𝙚𝙧𝙜𝙮 𝘾𝙤𝙣𝙨𝙚𝙧𝙫𝙖𝙩𝙞𝙤𝙣 𝘾𝙤𝙙𝙚𝙨 (𝙄𝙀𝘾𝘾) 𝙤𝙧 𝙉𝙖𝙩𝙞𝙤𝙣𝙖𝙡 𝙀𝙣𝙚𝙧𝙜𝙮 𝘾𝙤𝙙𝙚 and the required energy efficiency is met. It is vastly used for insulation in apartments, condominiums, multifamily buildings and townhouses to 𝘴𝘢𝘷𝘦 𝘦𝘯𝘦𝘳𝘨𝘺 𝘤𝘰𝘯𝘴𝘶𝘮𝘱𝘵𝘪𝘰𝘯, 𝘳𝘦𝘥𝘶𝘤𝘦 𝘤𝘰𝘴𝘵 𝘢𝘯𝘥 𝘪𝘯𝘤𝘳𝘦𝘢𝘴𝘦 𝘵𝘩𝘦 𝘳𝘦𝘭𝘪𝘢𝘣𝘪𝘭𝘪𝘵𝘺 𝘰𝘧 𝘵𝘩𝘦 𝘦𝘭𝘦𝘤𝘵𝘳𝘪𝘤𝘢𝘭 𝘨𝘳𝘪𝘥. We turn to 𝙍𝙀𝙎𝙘𝙝𝙚𝙘𝙠 for the guidance of efficiency standards related to the windows, floors, walls, lighting and ceiling. Our clients provided us with the architectural design and we inserted the parameters for that plan resulting if the plan was compliant or non compliant. One sample of our such a project is shown in the photo, we can see our compliance is 1.6% better in this case. Our turnaround is just 24 hours for a Rescheck, without any condition. Packages start at $69. Contact us with just your architectural plan for your Rescheck or any code compliance requirement, directly in https://lnkd.in/e7Xtq676 .
