Equity Agronomist: Program Leadership in Regenerative Food Systems

No Farms No Food (Systems) 🌱 Going back to the roots of sustainable agriculture! 🌾 Let's take a moment to appreciate the essence of sustainable food value chains, which find their origins in sound agriculture. Over the years, this practice has been known by various names such as organic, agroecological, and now, regenerative. The term "regenerative" holds a special place as it offers a unifying vision, encompassing both the process and the quality outcomes of agricultural practices. Sound agricultural products are the bedrock of equitable and healthy food environments, paving the way for sustainable diets. This creates a virtuous cycle where the impact ripples across communities and the environment. 🔄 To delve into the roots of this movement, I'm excited to share a classic video—one of the first made by the inspirational Joel Salatin. His insights laid the foundation for his remarkable book "You Can Farm." Today, I celebrate this American hero, a true Jeffersonian Agrarian Intellectual, whose vision continues to inspire a more sustainable and resilient future. 🌎🚜 Join me in revisiting these foundational principles and acknowledging the individuals who have paved the way for a more regenerative and sustainable approach to agriculture. Let's cultivate a future that nurtures both the land and its people. 🌿👩🌾 #SustainableAgriculture #RegenerativeFarming #FoodValueChains #JoelSalatin #YouCanFarm #AgriculturalInnovation https://lnkd.in/eZ7K4che
