"Movement Technologies," which encompasses robotics and automation aimed at improving safety and efficiency. A prime example of this is riser robotics. Riser systems are essential components in offshore drilling operations, connecting the drilling rig to the wellhead on the seabed. Traditionally, assembling and disassembling risers has been a labor-intensive and potentially hazardous task for rig workers. However, robotic riser systems are changing that and removing hours of exposures in the red zone that consequently reduce the risk to personnel. The integration of movement technologies into drilling operations is a significant step towards a more automated, safer, and efficient future for the industry.
