Companies nurture leaders and learn how to innovate in various ways, with acquiring knowledge being certainly one of the key approaches. Having more leaders who share the same knowledge within one organisation is a starting point for #positivechange. #IFLP
Knowledge is to be shared, especially the knowledge that drives a company to deliver its mission.
Having been an #IFLP participant herself, Sarah Bolton is now delighted to see more colleagues joining the Programme and supporting the charity in its innovation efforts.
“Breaking out of our norms" is how Sarah described the benefits of IFLP, which is why the Lighthouse Construction Industry Charity sends more leaders to the IFLP programme.

It's been an emotional week for me - firstly Jurgen Klopp announces he's leaving LFC at the end of the season, and today was the last day Louise Third MBE chaired the Catena Network Sector Spotlight event for Charity.....
Louise has chaired the event for the last 3 years superbly, and today was no different, as she posed the question "What would you count as your greatest success and how can we learn from it?" to attendees Merle Harrison-Croft , Alison M.Elliot HarrisRené NeunteufelMartin CornforthDean WilliamsPaul Hudson (and his cat Dave) Darren Bicknell and Peter Spencer.
One of the successes discussed, was the benefit of collaboration between organisations and the ways the organisations represented were pursuing this.....we hope to meet up in 3 months time to continue the opportunities for collaboration, albeit under the leadership of a new Chair.....
So who is your money on - the Catena equivalent of Xabi Alonso ??? 😊

Some days, like today, I feel heartbroken by the realities of what vulnerable communities face. Picking up of plastic might seem so useless, but I remain resolute in the empowerment of our charities’ EcoChangeMakers programme. I need to remind myself that as a charity we can, by default, empower acceleration across the sustainable development goals by relentlessly taking every step we can, even if only in tiny increments. #iamtheripple#startaripple#wemustnevergiveup#rippleeffect#impact2030#itsajourney

The #DigitalDivide is more than a lack of access to modern #technology – it’s a missing link in communication, employability, and freedom. That’s why at the Sophie Hayes Foundation we not only recognise the impact of the digital divide but actively do all we can to bridge that gap and prepare survivors of #ModernSlavery and #HumanTrafficking for freedom in a world of modern technology. Read the full blog to find out how we are closing the digital divide, and how you can help!

The UK's charitable trusts and foundations have a unique role to play in responding to the climate and nature crises.
I'm looking forward to running a session exploring this with colleagues at the Association of Charitable Foundations Leaders Forum in September.
To help me prepare, I'd welcome your thoughts on a couple of things:
💭 What do you think is the most important or distinctive contribution that trusts and foundations generally - not just environmentally-focused funders - can make in tackling the climate and nature crises?
🤝 What would be a good thing for UK leaders of trusts and foundations to *collaborate* on in relation to this unique role our organisations can play? Is there a problem could we try to solve together that would unlock our potential? Maybe a tool we could develop to enable more confident action?
Ideas, experiences, comments all welcome!
Trusts and foundations are unique!
You, of course, already know this but there is a meaningful contribution that only trusts and foundations can make in rising to the challenges of the climate and nature emergency, whatever their charitable mission and field of expertise.
Come and explore this contribution at one of our ten member-designed collaboration centres (facilitated discussions) at the #ACFLeadersForum24. This one was designed by Nick Addington, chief executive of the William Grant Foundation*. He will also be facilitating the session.
