Please read Senate Bill 3589 (https://lnkd.in/eB4aWBKP...) and contact your senator to protest it if you agree! In my humble opinion, it’s a poorly written bill. Essentially, the bill will end private firearms instruction as an industry if it passes. It insinuates that private firearms instruction is "Paramilitary Activity." So, how do Private Investigators and Security Guards that carry weapons with weapon licenses get their training?! Military / Law Enforcement 101 = TRAINING! You think you die; you need to REACT, and training helps with REACTION! I find the bill to be repugnant and a suppression of our God given and constitutionally protected rights! We know who… but they want to defund the police, call them names, take away our guns, and now our training so we know how to use them safely. Ridiculous! We need more gun training and more police, not less!

The family of the author of a 1983 magazine article which inspired the 80’s hit ‘Top Gun’ have failed in their attempts to invoke their copyright against the hit 2022 sequel. Ehud Yonay published an article in the California Magazine in 193 entitled ‘Top Guns’. This article detailed the story of an F-14 pilot and his radio intercept officer and their life at the Navy’s elite Fighter Weapons School, known as “Top Gun”. https://lnkd.in/eUUDg67V It's not the pistols and other legally owned weapons by responsible hunters, gun enthusiasts or collectors that contribute to illegal weapons supply. It's unregulated gun shows and other under the counter suppliers who are providing the supply. There's another aspect the government and HS needs to look at also: the massive influx of U.S. military weapons into Mexico. Then again it begs the question - how many U.S. military weapons make their way into the U.S. militias? #illegal weapons #interstate highway system

One important self-defense tip is to always carry a non-lethal weapon on your person. Effective non-lethal weapons include pepper spray, stun guns, and tasers—all which enable you to quickly and effectively subdue an assailant.

Serious talk. —-Law Enforcement folks. (First Responders) If you had a choice between soft armor with pistol rating, or plate carrier with up to .308 rifle rating plates. Both are very close to similar coverage, with very similar weight, and similar costs. (Our Plates have a 10 year warranty before needing to be replaced.) I continue to learn about more and more agencies going to plate carriers for higher level of protection for their troops. Especially since more and more agencies are using outer carriers.
