"Silent Discussion" lesson: What do protest songs tell us about the criticisms being made of US conduct of the Vietnam War? Students rotated silently through different sheets of lyrics jotting down questions, answering previous ones and making comments before answering the key question using the songs as source material (after we've taken a bit of time guessing the musical genre of each, voting on our favourites and then listening to an extract from each).
