The lives of everyone connected to Israel and Palestine will never be the same since October 7, 2023. With tens of thousands of lives lost, families torn apart, and children traumatized, now more than ever, we need to continue to show up for one another to mourn, remember, and call for an end to the violence and demand a political solution that brings freedom, justice, and safety for all. Israelis and Palestinians need the international community to join together around our shared grief to heal and build hope that another way is not only possible but imperative. This year will be the 19th annual joint Israeli-Palestinian Memorial Day ceremony organized by Combatants for Peace and the Parents Circle-Families Forum. The Ceremony will take place on May 12, 2024. This year, Combatants for Peace and the Parents Circle-Families Forum will center the ceremony around the stories of children whose only crime was being born Palestinian or Israeli. It’s powerful and important

What would you rather have: Hands waving and songs of #love? Or hateful shouting and calls for genocide of the Jewish People. You may think you are supporting innocent victims in Gaza but, you are blaming the wrong people for the carnage. We Jews, value all life, including our own. The barbaric murder of 1200 Israelis on October 7th WAS a genocide against Jews 3,000 rockets were fired in the 1st hours of the onslaught. How do we defend ourselves from this ever happening again? Gaza is at war, Surrender and the fighting will end. The Gazans must save themselves: KICK OUT HAMAS. Everything that has happened is because of Hamas but, the 80% of the Gazans support them. Who besides the IDF, broadcasts a warning to the "enemy" to get out of the way before the bombs fall. The month following the attack an additional 6,500 rockets hurled at Israel. 12,000 rockets the following December. If Hamas wants a ceasefire, then stop bombing Israel. Israel will react, if they continue to bomb. The anti-Israel protester do not understand that Jews predate Muslims by 3000 years. Why do we have to leave? Who are the occupiers? Jews are indigenous people of the Middle-East and have been expelled from our ancestral Arab counties, or forced to live as a 2d class citizens. Israel is a tiny sliver of land where Jews have the freedom to live in Peace. Israel is diverse. It is not NOT exclusively Jewish, nor an apartheid state, nor a European colony. There are 1.7 million Muslim citizens living in Israel. Israel has given away or returned land in exchange for Peace. That hasn't worked. Numerous times they offerd a 2-state solution. Meanwhile, please compare this protest by Jews with the violence, disruption and noise that we are seeing with the anti-Israeli protest. Their words are so hateful. They are so annoying. Go ahead, have a protest. But, not if it disrupts business and traffic for days on end. It's discourages customers from coming downtown and it is destroying the business landscape of our Cultural centers. People don't want to deal with the hassle and delays because of traffic, or possible violence. There is city crime too, and police are overwhelmed. The protestors are doing a good job of destroying their arguments, and goodwill. It's very selfish and self-centered. There no chance for dialog or a resolution. People are being extremely inconvenienced by this behavior. PLEASE RESPECT OTHERS. Should we kick out out Native Americans? #AmYisroelChai

Peace Please! Although it is maybe too late and surely should have been done much earlier, if Hamas would just unilaterally release all remaining 100 Israeli hostages as the ICJ and the UN requested, it would gain more credibility as a party who wants peace. This would force Israel in the position of a need to reassess its strategy because most of its arguments against Hamas would no longer be valid. This could be a starting point for a permanent truce. There is absolutely no future for any party based on the narrative of its radicals..... everyone who wants to claim territory exclusively for themselves will only find eternal war, violence and destruction, whereas the moderates hold the key to peace by non-violent interaction and dialog as equals. This is the only path to replace fear and hatred by trust and solidarity and to solve the conflict forever. Since Gaza has been carpet bombed, it is and will stay uninhabitable for at least a decade. Chances on a two-state solution have therefore become minimal. The only way out of the conflict is thus to learn to live together as equals and to share the country as one union. Practically, it means in my opinion to go back to the times of Canaan and establish (democratic) autonomous local communities and flexibly spread them over the entire territory of Canaan. These autonomous communities can coexist and come together in two confederations of communities (nations), an Israeli and a Palestinian one, both sharing the country as a union, this is a hybrid outcome with elements of both a two- and a one-state solution. There is space for all cultural identities this way without any minority versus majority issues. Currently, such scenario seems very far fetched, but, the Israelis and Palestinians belong to Canaan and nobody outside is waiting for an(other) exodus of any of the two. www.canaan.community & www.pax.ngo & www.convergence.ngo

A World Army would be useful in case of hostile invasion by an alien species.
