In her interview with The Ophthalmologist, Professor Cordeiro discusses the critical importance of early intervention in the treatment outcomes of patients with neurodegenerative conditions typified by many of those affecting the retina. She discusses the groundbreaking development of DARC (Detection of Apoptosing Retinal Cells) and the now realistic ability to detect and quantify these earliest signs of disease.
