I have been thinking about this word lately. As my work has allowed me to engage with people from different life paths, mindsets and monetary situations. “Privileged “ I have been so grateful realizing so many of us are Privileged ( الحمدلله ) We have a choice to decide our future. We can navigate through challenges easily. We are blessed with opportunities. On the other hand It made me humble to the core realizing to some Getting: A job interview is exciting A low income is exciting A minimal pay raise is exciting These people are content with very little with what they have. As grateful I can be it also makes me think how often we hold on to little things that never really mattered. Instead of being grateful and mindful in so many situations. We are caught up in a race we created for ourselves. We forget so many of us are Struggling to get hired Struggling to get a decent salary Struggling to make ends meet I do think We can take simple mindful actions to contribute to the society and make it better. By creating more opportunities, giving equal chances , raising awareness on social platforms, creating a safe space for everyone to be seen, providing trainings and what not collectively. Remember the main goal is to be grateful & treat everyone with consideration to have a healthy work culture. Very nice the ethos is spot on.
Amazing post Sehar Awan, CIPD! A lot of people are struggling these days and the layoffs are only coming harder and faster! Empathy, compassion, and understanding are the keys for helping people get through these difficult times.
I despise the word with how badly it gets misused for attention nowadays. Also how freely people throw it away without knowing anyone's background or their position or past. Privilege is something that is tied to a personal situation - not their ethnicity or skin colour.
It’s really great to have such positive thoughts during this challenging time, We should consider reaching out and offering our support to deserving candidates by leveraging our connections( By our reference), This collaborative effort can prove beneficial for both the job-seeking individuals in our community and those actively seeking qualified candidates.
Appreciated the message of gratefulness here Sehar. Something to continually reflect on.
Thanks for sharing Sehar Awan, CIPD! Aside from being grateful, we can focus on helping others have opportunities for growth and a better life.
Reading your words reflects confidence and understanding your path. Qualification is a combination of continued education and building skills and maintaining daily habits that all will keep changing to coincide with daily challenges and opportunities. You are Privileged with no doubt.
Being grateful for what you have does not negate ambition; it simply grounds us, reminding us to cherish the present while we work for our future. Sehar Awan, CIPD
Thanks for sharing it's a good gesture and appreciate you for your wonderful consideration ☺️
Open to opportunities with consulting firms.
8moGreat message, Sehar Awan. From my experiences, finding a headhunter with a heart and creative mind is getting rare. The majority don’t walk the talk and don’t respect those who are struggling to get a job in tough economics conditions. Treating candidates as numbers is painful and the negative consequences hurts not only the candidate but it impacts the headhunter and the recruitment agency. # Healthy environment # talented people # human headhunters
