🌟 Happy Recipe Wednesday!🌟 Today, let's master the art of crafting lattes right in the comfort of our own homes. Here's how Kristen Chidsey is teaching us how to do it: Ingredients: - ☕ Espresso - 🍯 Sweetener - 🥛 Milk Instructions: 1. Brew your espresso according to your preference. While it's brewing, gather your other ingredients. ☕ 2. Heat the milk in a microwave-safe coffee mug for 30-45 seconds until it's warm. 🌡️ 3. Once the milk is heated, grab a small whisk, and vigorously whisk it back and forth for 15-30 seconds until it becomes frothy and forms large bubbles. This frothed milk will give your latte that creamy texture we all love. 4. Slowly pour the frothed milk into the mug over the shot of espresso. The foam will rise to the top of the mug, creating a beautiful layer reminiscent of a traditional latte. Don't forget to spoon the remaining foam on top of your latte for that finishing touch. 🥄 And there you have it – your very own homemade latte! Feel free to customize it with your favorite sweetener or flavorings. Tequila is all about terroir, the soil, water, conditions and agave all play a vital role in producing a quality Tequila. It's also why wine drinkers love tequila and mezcal. All those elements put forth their individual contributions to the final product. This recipe uses a quality lightly aged reposado tequila, a scant amount of Chartreuse to imprint herbal characteristics and an agave caramel to achieve that extra bit of "terroir" to this cocktail. Thanks to @overstory in NYC for this amazing recipe. 1 barspoon Yellow Chartreuse 1/4oz Agave Caramel (recipe below) 3/4oz Vin Jaune 2oz Reposado Tequila (we used Tequila Ocho) Garnish with the expressed oils of a lemon peel, honeycomb if you have it. Add all the ingredients to a mixing glass with ice. Stir until well chilled. Strain into a rocks glass with a single ice cube. For presentation purposes, clear ice works best. Express the lemon twist over the drink and discard the peel. Garnish with honeycomb. For the Agave Caramel; Add 2 cups of agave nectar and 1 1/2tsp of sea salt to a saucepan. Heat to 350* and allow to caramelize for approx. 7 minutes. Remove from heat and gently add 1c of room temp. water. Be careful as to not spatter hot caramel all over yourself and the stovetop. This week let's talk Black Pasta! At Rockfoods Bangkok, we manufacture pasta of many shapes and colors, but the black one is one of the most succesful. Aromatic squid ink is used to color our classic fresh egg pasta and give it a silky black hue. But while it may smell strong, the resulting noodles are relatively neutral in flavor. It's traditional to pair them with seafood, but they'll taste good with any sauce or added ingredients that play well with a subtle hint of brininess. Why our recipe works: - Using a higher ratio of egg yolks to egg whites ensures delicate, rich noodles with a classic Italian flavor and texture. - Kneading by hand allows for optimal control over the quality of the dough.
