Have you heard about Antimicrobial Resistance (AMR)? Bacteria, viruses, fungi and parasites change over time and can adapt to resist the medicine we use to treat infections. Preventing this is a key concern for World Health Organization. We're committed to combatting AMR too. Find out how: https://ow.ly/FI7M50T4aTE

True! Genova’s GI Effects stool test is the first to combine microscopic O&P with PCR technology to ensure optimized parasite detection. Each methodology alone has its limitations. PCR is only used for the most common pathogenic parasites. Microscopic O&P is important to rule out other infections. Performing both results in improved detection rates. Antimicrobial resistance (#AMR) 🦠 is one of the top 10 global health threats facing humanity, according to the World Health Organization. AMR occurs when bacteria, viruses, fungi, and parasites mutate and no longer respond to medicines. As a result, infections become harder to treat and the risk of disease spread, severe illness, and death increases. Experts estimate that AMR-related deaths could grow to 10 million by 2050. The rise of multidrug-resistant bacteria is a major #PublicHealth threat, but connected diagnostic data can bolster national disease surveillance systems that are better able to monitor, detect, and address this threat. PATH has decades of experience advancing diagnostic capacity and disease surveillance in low- and middle-income countries, specifically through interoperable dashboards that monitor disease trends, including AMR. AMR poses a severe threat by enabling antimicrobial-resistant organisms to eliminate beneficial microbes, allowing resistant traits to spread among pathogens. This issue is particularly acute in low- and middle-income countries (LMICs), where inadequate healthcare infrastructure and high infectious disease burdens intensify the challenge, leading to longer hospital stays, increased medical costs, and higher mortality rates. Antimicrobial Resistance occurs when bacteria, viruses, fungi and parasites change over time and no longer respond to medicines making infections harder to treat and increasing the risk of disease spread, severe illness and death. We must take antibiotics responsibily to minimise the risk of AMR. #AMRInterversityProgram #AMRPrevention #AMR

Antibiotics are lifesaving medications against bacterial infections, but they're ineffective against viruses like the common cold, flu, and most sore throats. Yet, the misconception persists that antibiotics can tackle viral illnesses, leading to their misuse. The misuse stands as a significant threat, leading to antibiotic resistance - a concerning global health crisis. When antibiotics are unnecessarily prescribed or taken for viral infections, they don't help, and more dangerously, they can contribute to the development of drug-resistant bacteria. By understanding this distinction, we can stand together against the misuse of antibiotics in order to preserve their effectiveness and protect our health for the long term. #AntibioticMisuse #ViralInfections #HealthcareEducation #AntibioticRsistance"

What causes vitiligo? Why vitiligo occurs is not currently known. It is thought to be linked to autoimmune diseases, which result in the immune system attacking its own healthy tissues in error, instead of foreign cells such as viruses or bacteria. The first signs may be in an area of the skin that has received extensive sun damage. There are hundreds of studies that show Hypochlorous Acid is highly effective against a wide range of pathogens, including bacteria, viruses, and fungi. When it comes to keeping germs at bay, HOCl is the real MVP! The data we've provided you here is not random! It is straight from a study conducted by WHO (World Health Organization). Want to read more about HOCL and its comparison to other options? Read Here: https://rfr.bz/la09vk6

I recently completed the Antimicrobial Resistance Course, enhancing my understanding of this critical issue. AMR occurs when pathogens adapt, rendering antimicrobial medicines less effective. This phenomenon not only strains our health systems but also poses a significant threat to global health by increasing the burden of infectious diseases. Let’s work together to raise awareness and drive action against AMR! #GlobalHealth #AntimicrobialResistance #PublicHealth #ContinuousLearning
