Nourishing women and girls is at the centre of ensuring that we succeed in ending hidden hunger. During food shortages, it's unfortunately common for women to eat last and least, resulting in a dire lack of essential nutrients. The integration of smart technology and forward-thinking business strategies can significantly reduce the gender gap in nutritional access, paving the way towards a world where food security is a reality for everyone, regardless of gender. Sanku's innovative solution plays a key role in achieving gender equality in nutrition and we continue to strive to ensure no one is left behind. For just $0.36 per person, Sanku is providing millions in East Africa with access to nutritious food. Join us in the commitment to #EndMalnutrition by supporting food fortification initiatives. https://lnkd.in/dfMnmc3h #SupportSanku #EndMalnutrition#EndHiddenHunger #SDG2

🚀 Breaking the Broken Rung 🚀 One of the most significant barriers to gender equality in the workplace is the "broken rung" – the challenge women face at the first step up to manager. This crucial promotion often determines future career trajectory, yet data shows that women, particularly women of color, are frequently overlooked. 🔍 Why does this matter? - When women are not promoted to managerial positions, the pipeline for senior leadership becomes predominantly male. - Diverse leadership teams drive better business outcomes through varied perspectives and innovative thinking. 💡 What can we do? - Mentorship & Sponsorship: Senior leaders should actively mentor and sponsor high-potential women. - Bias Training: Implementing unconscious bias training can help managers make more equitable promotion decisions. - Transparent Metrics: Tracking promotion rates and setting targets for gender diversity ensures accountability. 🌟 By addressing the broken rung, we can create a more inclusive and equitable workplace where everyone has the opportunity to succeed. Let's commit to breaking barriers and lifting each other up! #IWD2024 #InspireInclusion—𝐇𝐚𝐩𝐩𝐲 𝐖𝐨𝐦𝐞𝐧'𝐬 𝐃𝐚𝐲 💖 Celebrating today, I reflect that five years ago, I was working in corporate and not a Mother. Five years today, I am now a Mother and working as a proud #Momtrepreneur of my own social business, iNNOVGoals 🌱 In 2019, three months after quitting the corporate world, I found out I was pregnant with my beautiful daughter. It was the most fantastic surprise news ever, but it also brought many uncertainties in my career. For the first five months (when it was still not physically visible), I remembered how I tried not to tell any people I worked with or hide it from Clients. I feared that pregnancy would impact how they perceived me as a young entrepreneur. Fast-forward to the latter stage of my pregnancy, and I found out that my fear was wrong. What I was thinking in my head was really what I felt people might think or some biases. Although I was lucky, my entire gestation was quite comfortable with no particular issues, which I worked up to my week of delivery. Indeed, most of my Clients and people I worked were very helpful and encouraging in my situations. When my daughter was born in early 2020 - it was right at the start of COVID-19, and Hong Kong and the World went into lockdown mode. My company work was halted and on pause. Then, being new to motherhood, I tried to use the lockdown as an excuse to be fully dedicated to my baby girl (it was a blessing in disguise). Work resumed as our World reopened from the pandemic, and my baby has grown into a healthy, active toddler. Being a mother and having to balance work became challenging. I was lucky to have become a #momtrepreneur and keep a flexible work schedule to raise my family. But, it is challenging for mothers to return to the workforce. It is not about getting help — it is about mindset. After being a mother, mind and soul are always in the family, and we don't want to miss the moments of our kids' milestones and growing up. I made a choice, and it is not to let work overtake my family. If anyone asks why I haven't been to evening networking events for the past four years, it is my choice, and I don't regret spending my evenings reading my daughter to sleep. Working is also a choice, and I want to let my kid know that mommy has aspirations and motivation to be better as a person and do good for our community. There shouldn't be any #motherhoodpenalty; likewise, men/spouses should also get equitable time to be part of their child's development. Thanks to everyone who has uplifted me over the years. And special thanks to Lena Wong, CFA & Hong Kong Momtrepreneurs, which I am so grateful to have found and been part of. : 🎉🌟 Celebrating Freedom: Reflecting on Juneteenth 🌟🎉 Today, as we commemorate Juneteenth, we at PIPRA honor this pivotal moment in history—the day when the last enslaved African Americans were informed of their freedom in 1865. This day is not only a celebration of liberation but also a reminder of the ongoing journey toward equality and justice for all. Juneteenth represents a significant opportunity to reflect on the past, acknowledge the progress made, and recommit to the work that remains in achieving true equality. It's a time to celebrate African American culture, resilience, and contributions to our nation's history and present-day society. At PIPRA, we believe in the power of diversity, inclusion, and respect for everyone's unique background and experiences. We strive to embody these values in our daily operations and community engagements, fostering an environment where everyone can thrive. Let’s use this day to learn from our history, celebrate achievements, and inspire one another towards greater understanding and action. We encourage everyone to engage in dialogues, participate in community events, and support African American businesses and artists. From all of us at PIPRA, Happy Juneteenth! May this day reinforce our dedication to freedom, diversity, and inclusive excellence. #Juneteenth #FreedomDay #Equality #Diversity #Inclusion #PIPRA
