Celebrating small wins today. Progress, no matter how minor, is still progress. It’s easy to get caught up in the big picture and forget to acknowledge the little steps forward. Take a moment to recognise and celebrate your achievements, no matter how small. #CelebrateSmallWins #PersonalGrowth

In my circle, we celebrate Wins on Wednesdays…but, what about the Losses it took to get there? New share in the comments... “You’re rewarded in public for what you practice in private.” Most of us have heard that quote. The problem is, we fail to remind ourselves while celebrating someone else's Win… In practice, you’re guaranteed to fail (over and over again)—we call it learning. So why do we compare ourselves to the success of others, without knowing the hell they went through in private? That’s the risk you take when celebrating wins. The mind isn’t always on our side. I don’t think it’s far off to add that it rarely is. And while the responsibility falls on the individual to get their mindset right, it’s our responsibility to be transparent. Most people know that they should celebrate wins… And maybe even future wins… But most people don’t celebrate this… Hardships. Why should we celebrate hardships? We’re acknowledging that we have them. Let’s say you did a webinar. You created the slides, you did a signup page, the emails, the payment processor - all the things. Even though no one showed up - you did the webinar. Celebrate that you did prepare. You did the work. That you showed up. Even when it was hard. And you’re still here. This helps you build resiliency. It trains your brain to know that you’ll be OK. So if you’re celebrating wins each day or each week… Please remember to celebrate your hardships.

What do you do to celebrate your wins? Here are two things I do: Before I go to bed, I think about 3 things I appreciate about myself and 3 things I’m grateful for. (Thank you Hoffman Process for this). I also create a folder in my inbox that I call a winbox. I file any emails in there that make me feel good about myself and read them when I’m having an off day. We don’t celebrate our progress or wins near enough. But according to a Harvard study, celebrating our progress leads to a dramatic increase in happiness. So what can you celebrate today?

Do you celebrate your wins? 🎉🏆 If I’m truthfully honest, I probably don’t do this enough. Running your own business can feel like a rollercoaster of highs and lows 🎢and it's all too easy to get caught up in the daily grind, which is why it’s so crucial to take a moment to celebrate your wins—no matter how small they may seem. Taking the time to celebrate your wins allows you to reflect on what you've accomplished and keeps you motivated.
