Amazon FBA costs are variable and depend on factors such as the size and weight of your products, the time of year (storage fees increase in October-December), and how long your items are stored in Amazon's warehouses. There are two main types of fees: Fulfillment fees (for picking, packing, and shipping your products) and storage fees (for storing your products in Amazon's warehouses). The Amazon world is on fire with the implementation of Amazon's new FBA Inventory Placement Fees that went into action on March 1, 2024. With this new fee, the cost of sending inventory into Amazon's fulfillment centers has increased DRAMATICALLY -- in many cases, as much as 3x or more. This video walks you through a live inbound shipment creation showing you the impact of this new workflow. It includes a look at the Amazon Optimized Shipment Splits, as well as their Minimal or Partial Shipment Splits and the fees involved with each of those choices. In the end, there's no way to get around it ... this is going to cost Sellers a LOT more money, which means those increased costs will likely be passed on to the Amazon Shopper. Amazon implemented major changes to their seller fee structure throughout Q1. Now that Q2 is well underway and sellers have had some time to adapt, we took the opportunity to review how sellers are reacting to the changes with Amazon SVP Fahim Naim to get his thoughts. Here's what he's seeing at a high level: 📦 For most brands with robust operations processes, we believe the net impact of the various fees will be minimal and largely controllable 📦 The biggest change for brands shipping via FBA is the need to closely manage all parts of the process, including when and how to ship units to Amazon 📦 The primary goal of the fee changes is to allow Amazon to increase the number of same-day and next-day deliveries, ultimately leading to higher customer trust and purchases If the Amazon fee changes are causing your brand apprehension, reach out for an expert analysis on how to best mitigate the impact for accelerated growth. #Amazon #ecommerce #commerce #AmazonSellers

Are you ready for Amazon's new fees....? As of April 1st, 2024, a new "low-inventory-level fee" kicks in. This means Amazon will be charging sellers for consistently holding low stock compared to product demand. Why the change? Amazon wants to optimize distribution and keep those delivery speeds lightning fast. Makes sense, right? Here's the good news: Amazon provides a handy "historical days of supply" metric on your FBA dashboard. This tells you exactly how well your inventory stacks up against past sales. Here's what you can do to prepare: 1. Head over to your FBA Inventory: This is where you'll find the "historical days of supply" for each product. 2. Analyze the Numbers: See which items are falling below the 28-day threshold. These are the ones at risk for the new fee. 3. Plan Your Inventory: Based on your sales data, adjust your stock levels to ensure you have at least a 28-day buffer. #amazonfba #inventorymanagement #ecommerce #amazonfees

Do You Know How Amazon and eBay Compare on Consumer Trust and Fulfillment? Amazon is often more trusted by shoppers because of its easy returns and A-Z Guarantee. Plus, with Fulfillment by Amazon (FBA), managing orders is simpler, even with higher fees. eBay has lower fees but a trickier return policy and requires sellers to handle shipping themselves, which can make buyers less confident. For sellers, Amazon’s easy processes can lead to happier customers.
