A Virtual Showroom allows architects, interior designers and anyone interested in creating inspiring spaces to experience and customize environments in a immersive way. These digital environments offer the flexibility to explore different layouts, finishes and #furniture options, helping visualize how individual elements come together to shape the final design. In this video, we showcase a #FuneralHome Virtual Showroom, demonstrating how the space evolves with different furniture arrangements. The AERO #Bench designed by LIEVORE ALTHERR MOLINA SL and the VACANTE Bench by Enric Miralles Foundation - Fundació Enric Miralles create a homogeneous distribution, while the combination of the BACK Bench by Burkhard Vogtherr and the MASS #Chair by Javier Cuñado of ITEMdesignworks (now Nacar Design) establishes a more structured layout. The philosophy of this Funeral Home Virtual Showroom is deeply rooted in the concept of transition, a universal theme in the experience of grief. The design eliminates traditional boundaries, with walls, ceilings and floors seamlessly blending to create a sense of fluidity. Water sheets surrounding the building further enhance this symbolism, representing the passage from the tangible to the ethereal. ➡️ Explore and download our #VirtualShowrooms to see how our honest design furniture can transform any project: https://bit.ly/48FZ0r5 Thanks to TRIVIMA for making it possible. #immersiveexperience #furnituredesign #architecture #interiordesign

Architects As Interior Designers! I believe that color is the heartbeat of interior design—less so in architecture—especially for residential units, custom homes, retail spaces, lobbies, shopping malls, and offices. My interior design process begins, therefore, with a mixture of horizon, composition, and color balance. From this initial theme, I select colors that define the various areas within the design. Then I go on to create a few thematic pallets. At ISD Architects, we consistently encourage real estate developers to leverage this method as a guiding principle for designing amenity areas or establishing a thematic direction for major spaces. This carefully curated palette can be applied throughout the building, with varying degrees of emphasis to enhance distinct environments. Once the direction is set, the interior designer can seamlessly weave in specific details, enriching the overall aesthetic and fostering a cohesive atmosphere that inspires and delights residents and users alike. #InteriorDesign #ColorTheory #DesignInspiration #ISDArchitects #ResidentialDesign #CustomHomes #OfficeDesign #ShopDesign #ColorPalette #WarmAndCool #CreativeSpaces #TransformYourSpace #Architecture #DesignFramework #HomeDecor #ColorSelection #InteriorStyling #CohesiveDesign #Toronto #Ontario

📌 Harmonizing contrasting architectural styles isn’t a 'crime'! ... It is bold! But requires conscious design. For example... The different styles can be broken up into two levels to create a dynamic and visually engaging structure. Like the building in the post. It successfully did that, combining a modern style with the traditional. The Ground floor features a glass-heavy facade, allowing for openness and natural light, creating a seamless connection between the interior and the outdoor environment. This serves perfectly for public or commercial spaces like Cafes or Retail shops The First floor employs a sleek, intricately patterned façade that adds cultural richness and creates a strong visual identity. It is well-suited as an art gallery or fine dining floor. Dynamic, functional, and visually striking—contrast still has a place in design. 💬What’s your take on this bold mix? Let’s discuss this in the comments. #FacadeDesign #ParametricDesign #ArchitectureLovers #DesignCreativity

The Power of Thoughtful Design in Architecture & Interiors Architecture and interior design are much more than just aesthetics; they are about creating spaces that resonate with the people who inhabit them. 🏡 Every element of a space – from the layout to the materials used – influences how we feel, work, and live. Here are a few key considerations when it comes to designing a space that truly works: 🔑 Functionality First: While beauty matters, a design should always serve its purpose. Whether it's a home or a workspace, think about how people will use the space before diving into décor choices. This helps create environments that are both practical and pleasant. 🌱 Sustainable Design: In today’s world, sustainability is no longer a luxury; it’s a necessity. Opting for eco-friendly materials, maximizing natural light, and incorporating energy-efficient solutions can make a huge difference for the planet and your wallet. 🎨 Personal Touch: Great design reflects the personality of those who use the space. Customizing elements, whether through color schemes or unique décor items, can make a house feel like a home and an office space feel like an inspiring environment. 💡 Smart Use of Technology: Integrating smart technology into interiors can elevate comfort and convenience. From automated lighting to climate control, technology is a key part of modern interior design. Remember, spaces are more than walls and furniture. They are an extension of who we are. A well-designed space has the power to enhance creativity, productivity, and overall well-being. #InteriorDesign #Architecture #SustainableDesign #SmartHomes #DesignTips #SpacePlanning

The changing landscape of interior design: are we ready for what’s next? In the last few years, we've seen a profound shift in how we approach interior design. With an increasing emphasis on sustainability, adaptive reuse, and multifunctional spaces, it's clear that our industry is evolving faster than ever. One of the most captivating trends has been the rise of biophilic design – bringing the outside in to improve mental well-being and productivity. This goes beyond just adding a couple of plants; it's about integrating natural light, organic materials, and outdoor views into our everyday environments. Concurrently, furniture design has also embraced modularity and flexibility to accommodate various needs within compact urban living conditions. As architects and designers, we must ask ourselves: How can we push these trends further? How do we balance the demand for aesthetic appeal with functionality and sustainability? Share your thoughts below! Your insights could spark another wave of innovation in our field. #Architecture #InteriorDesign #Sustainability #BiophilicDesign

When designing a welcoming and functional space, it’s important to remember that walls aren’t always necessary. In fact, they can make a room feel smaller and more confined. For areas where acoustic separation isn't essential, consider an open-plan layout. This blurs the lines between spaces, creating a sense of flow and flexibility. Instead of isolating rooms, you can create a larger, multi-functional space where different zones share circulation areas, maximizing both space and versatility. Bold finishes, like color and texture, can further define individual zones without the need for walls. Take the Arup Office Fitout in Maroochydore as an example: we used contrasting floor and ceiling finishes to create a directional walkway through an open-plan area, naturally segmenting workspaces and breakout zones on either side. This approach not only enhances functionality but also adds visual interest and character. The Art and Function of Staircases: Exploring Their Importance - Staircases are more than mere pathways between floors; they are architectural statements, marrying form and function. Whether bold and dramatic or simple and understated, a staircase serves as the backbone of a structure, offering both practical utility and aesthetic charm. As a designer, I view staircases as an opportunity to tell a story—a story of connectivity, creativity, and purpose. Why Staircases Matter 1. Connecting Spaces with Purpose At their core, staircases are functional structures that link different levels of a building. They provide a seamless transition between spaces, ensuring easy accessibility. 2. A Design Centerpiece A staircase can transform a building’s interior by serving as its focal point. Through materials, shapes, and designs, staircases reflect the character of the space and its inhabitants. 3. Smart Use of Space Beyond their primary function, staircases often serve as ingenious solutions for space utilization. From hidden storage compartments to display areas, they optimize areas that might otherwise go unused. 4. Safety Meets Style While safety is paramount, staircases don’t need to compromise on style. Properly designed staircases combine stability and elegance, making them safe yet visually appealing. Designing Beyond Functionality As a designer, I believe that staircases are more than structural elements—they are experiences. From the materials to the craftsmanship, every decision shapes how people perceive and interact with a space. A well-designed staircase combines safety, functionality, and artistry, offering not just a path but a statement. Whether you're looking for timeless simplicity or bold creativity, staircases can redefine your space, one step at a time. What’s your staircase story? Let’s create one that takes you to new heights—both literally and aesthetically. #StaircaseDesign #InteriorDesign #Architecture #ModernStaircases #ElegantInteriors #HomeDesign #DesignInspiration #SpaceOptimization #FunctionalDesign #LuxuryStairs #MinimalistInteriors #CreativeArchitecture #DesignerTouch #ArtisticSpaces #HomeDecorIdeas #vervespaces #anamf
