Allyship amplifies these voices, ensuring everyone is heard and valued. It's about actively supporting, uplifting, and standing beside one another in our shared journey. 🎄 Deck the Halls: By fostering an environment where everyone feels welcome and supported, we create a workplace that not only celebrates diversity but actively champions it. Bias Disruptor 🔸 Workplace Culture Consultant 🔸2022 Top Voice in Gender Equity 🔸Global Keynote Speaker 🔸 #1 Course of LinkedIn Learning (2021)
Does your job let you be YOU? Here’s how to find out. ⤵️ The workplace should be a space where everyone feels comfortable being their true selves. However, many of us have experienced environments where fitting into a "professional" mold meant hiding parts of who we are. 📣 This needs to change. Employers must embrace and celebrate the diversity of their workforce. Uncovering whether an employer genuinely supports diversity and inclusion starts with thorough research and asking the right questions. ➜ Look up news stories, press releases, and employee testimonials about the company. ➜ Pay attention to what leaders are saying about DEI initiatives and check if the company has faced any lawsuits related to discrimination. This can give you an idea of how seriously they take inclusion. During the interview, don’t shy away from asking direct questions about the company’s DEI practices. Ask about the presence of employee resource groups, professional development budgets, and specific DEI programs. For example, you can ask, "What initiatives does the company have in place to support diversity and inclusion?" or "How does the company ensure ongoing professional development for its employees?" Ask about the company culture by asking questions like, "Can you tell me about a time when the company supported an employee’s unique background or perspective?" These questions can reveal a lot about whether a company truly values DEI and supports its employees. Remember, you have the right to work in a place that values and respects you for who you are. Stay true to yourself and demand the same from your workplace. 🔗 For more insights and tips, join my email list by clicking https://lnkd.in/gjFvxrkB to subscribe NOW. 🌈 . . . . . #ReworkWork #StaceyGordon #DiversityandInclusion #DEIAction #InclusiveLeadership #EquityMatters #DiverseWorkplace #DEIStrategy #TransformingWorkplace #ChangeStartsHere #DiversityInAction #InclusiveCulture #EqualityForAll #InclusiveWorkforce #DEIChampion #SocialJustice #Empowerment #RepresentationMatters #BreakingBarriers #ProgressiveLeadership #CorporateResponsibility #BuildingInclusion #DEI #InclusiveLeadership #MentalHealthMatters

"Diversity is being invited to the party; inclusion is being asked to dance." Here’s how PR can play a pivotal role in promoting diversity and inclusion within organizations: 1. #Spotlight_Diverse_Stories: Use your platforms to highlight diverse voices and stories. This not only enriches your brand's narrative but also resonates with a broader audience. 2. #Educate_and_Inform: Launch campaigns that educate on the importance of diversity and inclusion. Use facts and heartwarming stories to illustrate your points, making them relatable and impactful. 3. #Partner_Strategically: Collaborate with diverse groups and organizations. These partnerships can help ensure authentic representation and foster inclusive practices. 4. #Internal_Advocacy: Champion diversity and inclusion internally by promoting diverse hiring practices and inclusive workplace policies through your internal communications. 5. #Monitor_and_Adjust: Continuously evaluate the effectiveness of your D&I initiatives and be open to feedback to improve your strategies. Happy Thursday!

Today, we celebrate the progress we've made and recommit ourselves to sustaining momentum, driving change, and fostering a deep sense of belonging for all individuals within our organization. Our collective efforts in embracing intersectionality, cultural competence, inclusive leadership, allyship, and advocacy have been guided by a shared vision of creating a workplace where everyone feels seen, heard, and valued. ✅ 𝐓𝐑𝐔𝐓𝐇 𝐓𝐈𝐌𝐄: Are your company’s DEI efforts 𝐅𝐨𝐫 𝐒𝐡𝐨𝐰 or 𝐅𝐨𝐫 𝐑𝐞𝐚𝐥? Many companies deserve a big thumbs up for thoughtful DEI initiatives that are not only supported but also driven by leadership, at all levels of the organization. But there are others where their efforts feel more like window dressing or, worse, defensive positioning for fear of legal reprisals. The good news? Despite the mountains the workplace has yet to scale when it comes to Diversity, Equality, and Inclusion, there are practical, easy-to-implement behaviors that everyone from managers to team members can do to create 𝐚 𝐬𝐭𝐫𝐨𝐧𝐠𝐞𝐫 𝐬𝐞𝐧𝐬𝐞 𝐨𝐟 𝐛𝐞𝐥𝐨𝐧𝐠𝐢𝐧𝐠 𝐚𝐧𝐝 𝐢𝐧𝐜𝐥𝐮𝐬𝐢𝐯𝐢𝐭𝐲. ⬇️ 🔎 𝐃𝐨 𝐲𝐨𝐮 𝐨𝐫 𝐲𝐨𝐮𝐫 𝐜𝐨𝐦𝐩𝐚𝐧𝐲 𝐚𝐝𝐨𝐩𝐭 𝐚𝐧𝐲 𝐨𝐟 𝐭𝐡𝐞𝐬𝐞 𝐩𝐫𝐚𝐜𝐭𝐢𝐜𝐞𝐬? Communication Leader | Employee Engagement Strategist | Corporate Storyteller | Change Ambassador | DEI Advocate | Red carpet communication: bridging gaps, translating messages, connecting people
Kindness, respect, and compassion go a long way in business. As a #corporatecommunicator I enjoy hearing and receiving feedback from employees so we can better customize messages to fit their needs. One thing I’ve noticed is we can all do better by leading with empathy. We’re all different. We have unique interests, passions, and projects that we support. My company recently announced Pride Month activities. Sadly, not all the employee comments were inclusive or respectful. It was nice to see a mix of employees and leaders step up to address the issue. I believe #diversity, #equity and #inclusion is a freedom and right for us all. #Belonging is important to one’s safety and sense of self at work. That's why I love being part of my company's Diversity Council. I choose to be an #ally and support my colleagues. Leading with empathy and showing kindness for others has always been the path forward for me. How about you?

For over a decade, I have assisted numerous companies in establishing their operations from scratch.
🌈 June: A Celebration of Authenticity and Inclusion 🌈 June is more than just a month filled with vibrant colors; it's a powerful reminder of the freedom to be ourselves. It's a call to recognize and celebrate the unique talents that each individual brings, based not on appearances or identities but on competencies and skills. Fostering inclusive, equitable, and transparent environments where everyone feels safe to express their true selves is essential in our professional journeys. These values should permeate our workplaces not just in June but throughout the entire year. Creating such environments isn't just a moral imperative; it's a business one. Diverse teams are proven to be more innovative and effective. By embracing diversity and fostering a culture of inclusion, we unlock the full potential of our talent pool. Let's take this month as an opportunity to remind ourselves to listen more and talk less. After all, we have two ears and only one mouth for a reason. Listening allows us to understand, to empathize, and to create a culture where everyone feels heard and valued. Here's to celebrating the freedom of being ourselves today and every day. Let's make a commitment to build workplaces where diversity is celebrated, and inclusion is the norm. #Inclusion #Diversity #PrideMonth #WorkplaceCulture #ListenAndLearn
