Did you know that we regularly check our member’s credentials? 📃 It’s something that is important to our association because we know that your workplace can only run safely if the racking and shelving you have in place has been designed and installed to do its job correctly. That’s why we ask any member looking to join SEMA as a member to undergo an audit. It’s a rigorous process that checks that each company is working to the highest level of SEMA standards, codes of practice and industry standards. Check they are conforming to health and safety requirements while also reducing their environmental impact. Plus, to save you the leg work it also checks they have the correct legal and insurance documentation in place. But, that’s not enough for us and to make sure our members consistently offer the highest levels of quality and safety we repeat the process every 5 years! #SEMAMembers #PalletRackingSafety #RackingSafety

Our latest stairclimber truly is amazing. Yesterday we carried out an install in a customers premises where not one of the competitors qualified the risk assessment each one stating they had to manual handle the copier upstairs with a lift weight above a persons safe lifting weight. With self leveling and remote control and a lifting weight upto 425kgs we got the job done. Buying a copier that requures a stairclimb check the contractor not only has high risk insurance but the training and means and equipment to carry this out safely. Employers’ duties for onsite contractors is both parties responsibility. Employers often mistakenly believe that their health and safety responsibilities are transferred to a contractor when that contractor agrees to carry out work for them. In reality, the law requires employers to take all reasonably practicable steps to ensure health and safety is maintained when engaging contractors. This makes any delegation of duties very tough because doing everything reasonably practicable with contractors requires, at the very least, that you do everything within your power to ensure health and safety in the way you select, instruct and provide contractors with information. It’s been a rewarding year, and we’re looking forward to continuing to keep businesses safe in the year ahead. If you’re due for an EICR, get in touch with us at 📞 01603 522 626. While doing our annual review of works completed and looking at some of those "boring" statistics, we came across some interesting information! This year, we’ve completed 147 Commercial EICRs across Norfolk and Suffolk, helping businesses ensure their electrical systems are safe and compliant. What stands out to us is not just the number, but the positive impact we’ve made. By identifying issues early on, we’ve been able to plan and complete the necessary remedial works, ensuring that businesses are protected from immediate dangers like electric shocks or fires. These inspections have allowed our clients to stay compliant, avoid costly downtime, and ultimately, keep their workplaces safe. Here’s why this matters: 🔌 Early identification of electrical risks ⚡ Immediate remedial action to prevent danger 🔒 Compliance with safety regulations 💼 Protection from insurance claims and liabilities 🔋 Increased longevity of electrical systems #CommercialElectrical #EICR #ElectricalSafety #BusinessSolutions #OrangeFoxElectrical #Norfolk #Suffolk #Compliance
