Doctor Dollars The cost of virtual consultation with a primary care physician is $99. Seeing the same doctor in their office raises the cost of service to $170. If you go to an urgent-care center/clinic the cost to provide care rises to $185. But if you go to the emergency room it costs $2,700. As for primary-care doctor salaries, pediatricians earn $251,000/year, family medicine providers earn $255,000/year, and internal medicine pays $273,000/year. (Elliott Eisengerg)

Difference Between #Family_Medicine | #Internal_Medicine Family medicine and internal medicine are both primary care specialties, but they have differences in focus and patient populations: Scope of Practice, (Family Medicine): Family medicine physicians provide comprehensive care for patients of all ages, from newborns to the elderly. They are trained to diagnose and treat a wide range of acute and chronic illnesses, and they emphasize preventive care and health maintenance for the entire family unit. (Internal Medicine): Internal medicine physicians, also known as internists, primarily care for adults. They focus on the diagnosis, treatment, and prevention of diseases in adults, with an emphasis on complex medical conditions and managing chronic illnesses. Patient Population of Family Medicine: Family medicine physicians see patients of all ages and often provide care for entire families, including children, adults, and the elderly. Patient Population of Internal Medicine: Internal medicine physicians typically only see adult patients, ranging from young adults to seniors. When it comes to medical billing, understanding the differences between family medicine and internal medicine is important for accurately coding and billing for services rendered based on the physician's specialty and the patient's age group. #RCM #Billing #providers #MedicalBiller #Credentailing #officebilling #Internalmedicineproviders #Familymedicineproviders
