"On July 8, in Warsaw, Poland signed a significant contract for the delivery of several dozen #Rosomak wheeled armored personnel carriers integrated with #ZSSW-30 remote-controlled turret systems. (...) The ZSSW-30 turret system was developed through a collaborative effort between Huta Stalowa Wola S.A./HSW S.A. and WB GROUP, resulting in a prototype and technical documentation. The system is designed for the destruction of armored targets, enemy fortifications, and providing fire support during combat operations. The turret’s electro-optical systems enable operations in various weather conditions and during both day and night. One of the standout features of the ZSSW-30 system is its ability for the commander and the weapon operator to independently observe, detect, identify, and track land and air targets using the autotracker function. The system also allows the crew to operate in “hunter-killer” mode, where the commander identifies and locates a target, which is then relayed to the weapon operator for targeting and destruction". https://lnkd.in/dK2H2UAB

HIPPO Multipower has demonstrated the multi-role capabilities of the hybrid multi-purpose platform on the Army Warfighting Experiment (AWE) 2023 as part of the British Army’s flagship innovation experimentation program, forging relationships with industry to identify technology that could be used in future warfare. According to Army Recognition, the British Army has tested the Hybrid Amphibious Wheeled Carrier (HAWC), an innovative vehicle redefining the landscape of modern warfare. HAWC, an adaptable multi-purpose platform, aims to alleviate the burdens on dismounted soldiers and light forces, constituting a pivotal asset in the Army’s ongoing adaptation to the evolving dynamics of combat. This initiative aligns with the broader AWE, seeking to fortify the British Army’s capabilities in response to emerging challenges in warfare.

Recently, the 101st Airborne Division (Air Assault) completed a 21-day exercise at Fort Campbell, Kentucky called Operation Lethal Eagle. This exercise was the first comprehensive field assessment of the Army’s initiative “transforming in contact”, which is the process of ongoing development of solutions through the rapid prototyping of organizational and technological changes and integrating them into units. A big part of this exercise was testing new initiatives in electromagnetic warfare, especially the importance of reducing or masking a unit’s digital signature. “If you can be seen, you can be killed,” Maj. Gen. Brett Sylvia, commander of the 101st, said during a recent media round table. “And that’s not just visually seen. Can your electromagnetic signature be seen as well? Did you hear? Enhanced decoy launchers will be fitted to Royal Navy ships so they can respond to hostile threats more accurately at sea. In total, 38 trainable launchers will be fitted to 19 vessels as part of a £135 million contract, supporting 150 skilled roles. This highly modular and flexible system will deliver a step-change in decoy launcher technology compared to traditional fixed solutions, providing increased protection against missile and drone threats.
