Yesterday, students from the Wiesbaden Business School presented their ideas for taking SOSA’s communication efforts to the next level. They impressed us with thorough market analyses, suggestions for clearer narratives, and creative ideas for collaborations. They even made us laugh with imagined audience personas and sample TikTok videos! We want to say a big thank you to Prof. Dennis Albert and all the students who presented their ideas. We so appreciate your efforts, especially the fun and creativity you infused into your marketing pitches, and are looking forward to integrating them into our strategy for this year. So, if you see a little more innovation or imagination in our communications going forward, you'll know why!

As communications professionals, we understand the importance of crafting messages that resonate with both our loyal audience and those just dipping their toes into the pool of our brand. 🏊♂️ Today, I'd like to share a valuable tip that has proven to be a game-changer for many successful brands: Consider the "Steps into the Pool" approach. 🚶♂️ Imagine the first steps into a pool - a gradual introduction, a chance to acclimate, and an invitation to explore at one's own pace. Similarly, our digital spaces should extend a warm welcome to new followers, clients, and customers. 🌟 Image by Stef from Pixabay

Why do we complicate communication briefs? Whenever we speak to our friends and family, we don’t go with an agenda of several things to discuss. Our conversations are often organic and go with the flow. So why do we complicate brand conversations? Why expect the communication to get the audience’s attention, engagement, website visits, and probably a sale too? Here’s my two cents. Your audience is human. If you expect everything out of a single communication, you’ll be disappointing only yourself. Instead of having multiple objectives when communicating with your target audience, take one pain point or topic of discussion, and address just that. In the long run, the deeper you go into the communication funnel, the more meaningful your brand communication will need to be. Only then will you be able to achieve your objective. Let's treat our digital audiences as friends and family instead of bombarding them with ads to make a quick purchase. #justathought

How to create an effective brand communication? When it comes to communication planning, it's essential to ask yourself these three questions: Who is your audience? Why are you communicating with them? What do you want people to do after? These questions are the foundation of any brand activity. Humans are inherently social beings, and in every interaction, people gather information about the speaker. In everyday life, saying something awkward might lead to 5 minutes of embarrassment, but in business communication, it can cost you the money that consumers bring in. The results of your communication will vary from one consumer to another due to their unique life experiences, but the overarching message about your brand and whether you can engage with it will remain consistent. That's why consistently asking yourself these three questions – who, why, and what you want people to do/want to achieve – keeps you on track and prevents missteps. By the way, those three questions will help you prepare any great presentation or speech. #brandstrategy #brandmanagement #communications
